This is a follow up to: http://artists-beware.livejournal.com/447118.html

So far, he has paid back everyone except for me and partially Dipper, I believe.

I haven't seen a single dollar. I told him he needs to pay me the original $230 plus the double charges, so $460 total. I offered for him to pay it off half at a time.

So far, he has done nothing but make excuses towards me about how he doesn't have the money to pay me back, and won't for awhile. I have given him a deadline of the end of September to pay me back.

I was told be several people to post a followup since I have yet to see a single dollar for all the work I did for him. I'm tired of waiting and I'm at my wits ends with this.

Edit: I got $200 out of the $460 he owes me. Onta's gotten all his money back.

As far as I've been told, he hasn't Paid Onta off completely either (I think he's paid 1/2 or 1/4th or something) so...yeah. Maybe it's time to make another comprehensive list of who and what he owes, since I heard he paid a few people now. I'm sorry you're dealing with this =\, he's a definite blacklist for me (and probably many others).

Ahh good, I just asked him to clarify and he has been completely paid up, although I believe its not Candy's doing, but the chargeback that did it automatically.

Echoing Neolucky. I think someone needs to try and get a full list of everyone who was effected- and whether they've received any/how much from him yet.

Does anyone have a postal address for him? Is there anyway you guys could send something to his parents? Not that I am sure that will do much good. At best, they could put pressure on him.

Ugh. this is ridiculous. :(

I hadn't realized it during the original incident -- but I've actually done art for this guy too. Another account of his is MintyFerret. I was lucky enough to not end up with a Paypal dispute, though.

He's Mintyferret? Wow, I never realized, he seemed like a real nice guy and really responsible considering how much art he seemed to have.

Huh, now he has Mintyferret linked as his 'Pals' but I could have sworn seeing him say it was an alt account...

Maybe it's possible he still wants to get art withought people knowing? This is just thinking the worst though. They're could be other reasons or it's not an alt account at all.

Sadly, since I can't remember when I saw the comment I suppose it's possible it's a false memory. Though it seems like an odd thing to have a memory about.

Hamburger, I am not Minty Ferret. I don't know why you think this, or if someone tried to tell you that I was. But, I don't want to drag him into MY problems. So, to clear the record, that of which I have no idea where it came from, I am NOT Minty Ferret.

Are you serious?!? I think I might actually be watching that account on my FA, for whatever reason.

I'm not entirely sure this is true. If so, I've definitely done work for him under MintyFerret. (And that client is quite an avid art collector) But...I get the distinct feeling they aren't the same person. I could be entirely wrong though.

Speaking of Mintyferret, he owes me a payment from March. He said that paypal messed up and the payment didn't go through, yet I received $10 for coloring in a redo of his main commission. :/

So it might be the same person.
I really don't know tho.

i see them talking to each other on some things. maybe try asking an admin on FA to check IPs?

Yeah, I asked him about it some time ago when I noticed he was still getting art from Azelyn. He says that it was because she was never effected by the "accidental" paypal disputes. =\ Really, the admins need to know about this dude. He's done far more damage than a lot of the people banned for scamming as far as I am aware.

So, instead of canceling the commission/repaying back the people he owes, he just gets more art 'cuz Azelyn wasn't affected? :/ Wow, this guy is just..the admins have to know about this by now.

Dragoneer knows about him from when this first happened. We spoke and both agreed at the time that a kid acting like a kid and getting caught was not banworthy. There was also no way to prove that he did it maliciously. However, given that he doesn't seem to be paying people back... it may be worth the admins revisiting his case.

Azelyn already replied to the commissions that were mine. She wasn't affected so she decided to continue and finish them. Both of those were paid for before the incident started in march. Look at one of the submissions of hers that was for me. She replied in the comments. I will link you.

I guess you won't have much recourse to force him ato pay you back with out taking legal action. One would hope he would do it on his own free will but that is a lot of money for someone 18 to come up with on their own. I'm sorry you had to be a victim of this kid's negligence... Please keep us updated about if there does come a resolution

Is there any way for you to take him to small claims court? I don't really know the US legal system, but minor or not you deserve to get that money back. Especially considering its close to $500 with all those double chargebacks and everything :S

oh yes, very much so. He committed theft, inconveniences and trauma to victims, and quite a bit that will land him in $10,000 worth of fines and 1.5-2 years in jail.
I already had a lawyer prepared and everything.
I threatened him to pay up or I would file charges. Mainly because I have a nice degree in LE and have vast knowledge on court systems and practices. He got scared and paid me back. Looks like I will have to do it again for Acorns situation

It's a shame that it would have to come down to that, really.

If you're going to spend your money, you should be prepared to handle the situations you might potentially get yourself into by spending it - especially so much of it in such a short time span. If anything, I really hope that he's learned a VERY valuable lesson about managing money or at the very least, having his own bank account/credit card to make purchases with.

I'm really glad you got your money back (along with the others that he's paid), and hopefully Acorn gets back every single cent she's owed as well without legal action actually having to happen.

If he messes her around anymore with payment it may be a good idea. :S Seems he's the sort to put it off until kingdom come if other's are still waiting for the money back. She's waited long enough for the money from him, that's for sure :S
