He did not see my half of the trade. While I was still in the process of sketching, he sent me the finished story. I didn't get a chance to read it for a day or so due to RL obligations.



When I questioned him about the story, he was honest about using previous stories. When he offered to cancel the trade, I took him up on it and blocked him as well. While this has now been resolved, I just felt others should know about his behavior as well.

Oof, along with the issues mentioned in the previous post, he really didn't do a good job of proofreading it. There's a lot of flubs that are the earmark of someone just letting spell-check do all the work ("laid," "written in you philosophy," "away form your kind," etc.). If he was supposed to be getting a finished piece for this, that's extra shoddy on his part.

Sorry you had to deal with that. :C But thank you for posting!

It's ind of sad for me as he seems like he was behaving quite politely throughout the exchange and was relatively understanding that you might want to back out. I'm honestly not sure if he sees what he did as wrong, which is one of the more befuddling parts of the story to me.

Just out of curiosity, what was your half of the trade going to be? Also, were the characters in character?

(He's wrong either way, this is just me wanting to break it down into itty bitty bits to look at all the pieces.)

Yeah, that's what was confusing for me, too. He was polite through the whole thing, even when questioned. I feel like he is an ok guy, but his work ethic is a bit off.

He wanted a female version of Beast from the X-Men, which I had no problem doing.

As for the story, all I told him was that I wanted a human/anthro relationship and what kind of issues that may arise with it. I didn't give names or character profiles, other than a description of what I'd like the characters to look like. I left all that mostly to him. If he had wanted more specifics, I would have gladly given them. I just felt this would be easier on him.

That makes sense to me too. Not someone I'd necessarily refuse a commission to, but not someone I'd trade with.

Oh I meant "full color Vs lineart" or whatever. What level of art did he request?
