WHO: maoria on FurAffinity
WHERE: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/maoria/
WHAT: 3 traditional sketches, to be delivered by mail after completion.
WHEN: Bought commissions a year ago. Have not even seen commissions, let alone received them.
PROOF: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2216583/
Screencaps of her FurAffinity journal are below showing where I am listed as buying commissions (I am "thedormouse").

EXPLAIN: A year ago maoria posted the commission journal shown above. I decided to commission some pictures and noted her on FA. She was friendly and responsive at first, as this note with history shows, and was even willing to ship from the UK to the US:

After I sent her payment, she abruptly cut off communication. After a few weeks, I noted her again about the commissions and received this bizarre response.

After some time with no further communication, I messaged her several times but received no response (even though the FA note system indicated they had been read or at least deleted). Finally, I told her that I'd open a trouble ticket on her if she did not respond. Naturally, she didn't, so I did, though that got me nowhere.
Her account was fairly inactive for many months. Recently, however, she has made a return and has even started taking commissions again. I noted her about mine. When the first few were ignored, I noted her again and found she had blocked my account. She's posted a "to-do" list of commissions, which I am of course not on. Emails to the accounts she has listed on her FA account yield no response either.

Date: 2012-07-09 02:59 am (UTC)It's hard to read with all the messages being clumped into one quote, but none of your notes to her seemed to be pushy that would make her resort to blocking you. Just bad business practice, though Beware well warranted!
I hope she comes to terms that she can't simply steal your money like that (possibly dispute with your bank since it's too late for paypal to step in) without you wanting to get what you paid for in return. I would suggest making an alt but going around FA's block system isn't a good idea even if they aren't doing jack to help you and you're blocked from contacting her elsewhere.

Date: 2012-07-09 03:26 am (UTC)Sorry if the composite note is hard to read. I didn't include all the notes I sent her asking for progress, as they're all fairly short and none were replied to anyway.
The double-last straw for me was when she posted an "apology" pic to some other person she claims "wronged pretty bad a while back" (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8348246/), then the same day posts a journal begging someone to donate 5 pounds so she could go get wasted with her friends for the weekend (http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3626678/).

Date: 2012-07-10 03:10 am (UTC)Hopefully if she finds out about this and other Beware posts she'll shape up and unblock you then complete commissions she's been owing people.

Date: 2012-07-10 03:11 am (UTC)Didn't realize someone had already posted on her. For some reason, this one wasn't given the "artist-maoria" tag. If she hasn't finished yours even after your posting, then my journal probably won't faze her much either.

Date: 2012-07-10 11:23 am (UTC)We don't tag advice posts with names because they are usually submitted without the name of the other party, or are lacking the proof needed for a beware. Or both.

Date: 2012-07-10 07:35 pm (UTC)This current post is tagged with the artist's name. The previous one referenced in this thread wasn't tagged with a name because it was submitted as an advice post. We don't archive those, so I'm not sure if it had the name in it originally, and it has definitely been edited since approval.

Date: 2012-07-10 07:42 pm (UTC)Sorry if I'm sounding confusing, I was trying to be...un...confusing.
What I was trying to say was that the artist's name was included in the previous post by the other user and that was why I wasn't sure why her name wasn't included in the tags. But I understand why it wasn't now, since it was tagged as an "advice" post, and not a beware. I think he (the other user) was more looking to post a beware rather than an advice post, but I could be wrong!
Edit: I stand corrected, it looks more to me like he was looking for advice rather than wanting to post a full-on beware. Still a little groggy from waking up not too long ago, I apologize. @.@
