After reading all of ya'lls comments on the last entry, I have taken a lot of what ya'll said into consideration, and I think I have come up with a better idea for the critria for a list.
I think the list should include artists or commisioners who have robbed folks for over 100 dollars. I think that when this much money is involved in a business deal it is pertient to warn others about the artist or commisioner invovled reguardless of their excuses. I know there was one poor furson out there who was robbed for 400 dollars for a custom plushy, and after hearing about his repeated effort to contact that aritst, I think that in this case the artist's reputation does need to be jepordized, because that is alot of money to loose.
I think if we had a list around that specfically warned people about the amount of money this artist or commisioner has made off with, it would certainly make the official list a lot smaller, and really draw attention to the people who have large dollar amounts involved in transactions that didn't follow through with the merchandise.
What do ya'll think?

*hugs* I know how you feel. I've known some artist who use this "emergency commission" excuse since day one since they joined an art site. Okay begging for money is alright from time to time but when the artist keeps doing it over and over again, it gets quite annoying. And then you have those "whiteknights: coming to defend the artist even though the artist is clearly in the wrong. That is someone's (commissioners) money. I don't get why people get so upset and start bullying the commissioner when they did nothing wrong in the first place.

We all have a tough life don't you think? When artists keep saying all those bad things every single time they log on that right there should raise the red flags big time. I mean seriously, no has it that bad. "My house caught on fire, My car won't work, my computer/art tablet died, i'm about to be evicted." After a while it becomes a pattern and to me this sounds like some sort of undescribable disease. It's just plain sick. If they have a hard life then they have no right to be taking on commissions or artwork.

If they don't respond or cooperate the best way is to just get your money back and move on.

Hi!

While being active in AB is never a bad thing, please be more aware of the dates of various posts made to the comm to attempt to avoid "necroposting". This post and thread is from 2006 and likely all parties involved have long forgotten about it.

Thanks!
