May. 15th, 2006 10:50 pmanother update on this continuing thread:
http://community.livejournal.com/artists_beware/65527.html
(thought i had posted another some time last month but i can't find it here, so maybe not)
Another long "update" from BlaqueTygriss to her list. most of it was about her divorce. but she did have this to say that i found interesting:
">What holds in the future of my art? Well, like before in 2003, weekly
>auctions on Furbid.com WILL go on, and ONLY auctions. Unless it's a
>commission with someone who I already dealt with or has patience, I
>am not doing anything OTHER THAN auctioning.
>
>Actually patience may not be a requirement, since I will be living
>alone long as the roof over my head is reliable the art WILL flow.
>The less stressed I am the more creative I am. As many of you recall
>those days of 2003 when I put out something new weekly and done
>commissions within 24-48hrs time and sent right after completion. I
>wonder if there's a market for art of pregnant furries..."
oh i laugh. in other words screw every one who has ALREADY paid her is getting...? notice that she doesn't really say. she's gonna go screw more people on furbid now. ;) this after claiming she'd be contacting all her commissioners "1 by 1" TWO MONTHS ago about status. yea, that never happened either. go fig.
no real news there. just thought i'd say though.

The auction had finished when you commented, but I just tracked back through my watched items and got her 'About Me' page for you. Seems she's sending stuff alright to the people buying on her eBay account, and I'm pretty darn convinced by the AM info that it's the same Blaquetygriss.
So, theoretically, if she can get downtown to post eBay items, if your plushie is done, shouldn't she be able to post that too? *thoughtful*

Date: 2006-05-16 04:17 pm (UTC)I went and looked at her poseable plushes, I have to say, $400 is a LOT of money for the quality of stuff she's producing, you could probably have made it yourself for under $100, it's especially pricey given how flaky she has proved to be. I wouldn't have paid outright up front for the work myself.

Considering what the comments in the thread say, well... Those are conditions where I know I wouldn't want to be working on commissions.
The above comment was written by Axle Gear, and the below is the only substantial reply to it:

Date: 2006-05-23 06:39 pm (UTC)If you have evidence, not rumour, which shows she has used FurBid-SF for ripping others off, or can show she entered into a contract through bidding, or listing, items on FurBid-SF, and has neglected to fulfil her obligations which come with doing so, you should email me about it immediately. I may not be able to get your money back for you, but I can prevent her from doing the same to others.
The same goes for others who you may know who are in a similar situation. Have them email me as well.

Date: 2006-05-25 03:48 am (UTC)i too hope more come forward. i've had a few people email me wishing to remain anonymous. i wish they would support me publicly though, it is getting rather annoying being alone.
