ehhh, I'm side-eyeing that reply pretty hard. Like, okay, maybe you're right and no one complained before, but people are complaining/being more vocal NOW, and that's the important part, not what happened in the past.

Yeah... no. I mean, you set your prices, so if you don't feel like you're being paid what you deserve, raise your prices? Or, you know, go work at a fast food chain if that's really how you feel about your commissions. Working a non-art job doesn't mean you can't also make art.
