update on Gypsymoon

Just wanted to pop in an update ya'll on my previous posts featuring gypsymoons_den...


although Ultraviolet has been quite helpful in attempting to collect a payment from her for me, I've had no response since June of this year.

I did send her a collections notice, as I believe one other artist did, but have received no response.

The badges she commissioned were completed in September, 2006.


So, sadly, I must reiterate... do not do business with Gyspymoon.

Just out of curiousity, can we get a tally going here? Anyone else owed?

Still waiting for my money from her was well.

I've been having email discussions with her back and forth for most of the summer. I finally told her that I would like all of this resolved soon because I didn't want to be worrying about it during school. She asked me to give her a deadline, I told her when my first day of classes were and she said she'd try to get the money to me (either by postal mail or by paypal) and I have not heard from her since. It's been almost a week since the deadline I set.

I'm not really sure what to do at this point other than to keep pestering and hope my resolve is greater than hers. :/

For a badge commission, that's a looooong time to wait for payment.... For any commission really, but for something small like a badge, you figure any schmuck could come up with the money in a couple of weeks tops. I have no personal experience with her, but I sympathize with your situation. =/

she said she sent payment via western union but I'm out of town for the next week so if it arrives I won't know until I'm back home. If its not there though then there will be trouble but for now I'm trying to enjoy my vacation and assume the best.

Well, I'll say my part in her favour... I'm working on a commission for her, and we agreed beforehand that the form of payment would be stuff from my Amazon.com wishlist. I figured since i buy stuff there anyhow, it's not a whole lot different than cash. ...So, she got me stuff, more than i expected even... and she's been really nice and pleasant to work with so far. I just hope i can get her art finished soon!

Just so that for the record, not all of her business is bad...
