Details:

1. While at Saboten2012 I was selling a few things at a mini flea market the con had going on Saturday night. Among the things I was selling was a fursuit tail. Ravinghachi approached me asking if I would trade art the tail. An agreement was reached, and she left with the tail.


2. I sent her the details for the badges when I got home. The original note can be seen here (this is the 'lots of details' image) which has links and a detailed description outlining what I specifically wanted for the badges.


3. On November 2nd I received this reply that progress was excellent and she could drop them off if we set up a place to meet. During the holiday season it's really difficult for me have to for meeting people, so I asked for a scan. She said her scanner was broken, but had been uploading a lot of photos during that time. I asked if it was possible for her to send a photo of the badges.


4. On November 26th she sent me a note saying she was going to post my badge that night, but days went by and the scan wasn't posted.


5. On November 30th she responded the same day with a link to the badge (screenshot here). This is the badge that was posted. It's cute and all, but not really what I had asked for. In my reply I tried to politely express my concern for the lack of second badge and my description not being followed. She told me the second badge was still being worked on. I tried to figure out what to do about the first badge being incorrect and communication ceased.


6. I then saw her wearing the tail at TaiyouCon (Jan 4-6) while working at my dealer's table. Unfortunately I was unable to talk to her in person.


7. On Jan 8th I sent her a note which was read within 24 hrs, but has not been answered. That note can be seen here.


8. I left another comment on her page of Feb 23rd (screenshot here from my nexus). When I checked back tonight she had deleted it, with no answer to me at all (screenshot here). She responded by saying she didn't see/delete the comments. (I seem to have misplaced that screenshot.) I asked again for the money she owes me, she told me she had to use her mother's paypal because she didn't have one.


9. I waited again with no contact, so I left another comment on her front page. Her responses are here.


10. I noted her as mentioned, this is the final note I sent, which was read, before making this post.

Did the artist show you any samples of their work before you accepted the trade? I'm asking because their gallery is fursuit shots and a piece of free art from Kayla_la (that they might want to actually IDK say they GOT it from her? That's a bit miffing IMHO) also because you mention being disappointed in the work, but mainly due to the pose/concept you wanted not being used.

They did credit it here (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9987409/) in their main gallery, but not on the scraps one? I don't get that. I am also puzzled by the lack of art in their gallery if they wanna trade it for stuff.

How bizarre, how bizarre (cue the quiet mariachi music). But yeah it strikes me similar to one beware we've had of a dude who was selling custom tails at a con with a bare table and the hustling line of "You need a tail"... awkward and shady.

She was wearing a badge she said she had made, and I thought the art was cute, so I agreed. It's not the quality I'm upset with, it's that she disregarded the instructions, was a nightmare to contact, and simply didn't even do the second badge. :/

I completely agree. Her manner of handling her business is pretty bad. Contact is always key, especially with commissions. :/ she probably doesnt get hardly any commissions. Has she done badges for anyone else? Or were you her first?

I know this is an old AB but I had to comment when I saw this badge. It was copied off of http://img-cache.cdn.gaiaonline.com/e286d484962df259d5848daa7705fb48/http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh133/calliekayoutcast654/furry%20rave/rave.jpg by the artist deathjingle. So that would have set red alerts to me.

Shouldn't have let her walk away with the tail. That was a big mistake. It should have been shipped out when progress on art was seen.

This greatly disappoints me knowing something liked this happened at a con I'm staff on. She mentioned before that she's also in a situation with someone who isn't refunding her when they broke a fursuit contract.

I agree with others, never give someone your part until they completed theirs even if they are local. I will gladly talk to Neo if you need me to since she's pretty frequent on FB. If she doesn't follow through with her end of the bargain, I will gladly do the badges for you since I'm local.

The reason I let her have the tail, was that she seemed so excited about it and sincere about doing her half. I'm honestly kicking myself pretty hard for letting my guard down.

If you'd like to do the badges, that would be kind of you, but certainly I'd hate for you to feel obligated.
