EXPLAIN: I initially bought the suit head off FoxFairy so I could share the suit head with friends. A lot of my friends where I originally lived could not afford suits so I really wanted to do something for my friends

We had originally talked through notes but she switched to emails.

After I sent the reference I had made, I asked if one small change could be made (a small ear cuff). She seemed excited to do that and accepted without saying if it was going to be extra or not.

I cannot find the initial email FoxFairy sent me telling me the exact date the suit was finished as proof, but she had originally told me the suit head would be finished by the end of January 2013


February 13, 2013
FoxFairy emailed me back, letting me know that she finally had all the supplies. I keep saying in each email back that I really would love to see progress photos. No photos yet.

Since the suit head was promised to be completed at the end of January and still nothing on photo updates, I was hopeful to have the suit head in time for my last California con before my move for school.

Nearing my move date, I was getting more and more nervous about the minimal contact. This was not my first suit I commissioned and I was accustomed to all the wip and updates I got from my last commission.

I finally see WIP photos of the suit and FoxFairy promises that the suit head will be shipped no later than July 3, 2013. She also offered to pay out of pocket for shipping and even offered to make me a matching a tail for free. I accepted the free tail offer.
She originally had offered free hands, but by the quality i had seen in her gallery, I thought I could make them better myself.

I sent one final email saying to either ship me the head and tail(or materials for tail) or give me a full refund and redo the suit head to not be the design I made. I do not know what to do at this point. A lot of FoxFairy's commissioners are now coming out and messaging each other and we are all worried.
This is not the first time FoxFairy has disappeared. I have counted at least 3 times where FoxFairy has disappeared without a trace since December 2012 and has not contacted any of her commissioners. This experience has made me feel a bit bitter and I only jumped on the commission because she had no Artist Bewares and she had decent work. I am starting to regret this decision.

EDIT:: Foxfairy replied to my last email showing WIP of the suit head. While the head is nearly finished she said, the markings are a bit off. I replied back to her email and told her what was off about the character/suit. Hair was missing. Ear cuff was missing(which we had discussed adding on one of the first emails). Markings were off for the muzzle. I still do not know what fur she used, which I requested to know from the beginning.
I do not mind delays, but as long as communication is kept. She seems to be trying to make up for what she did to her commissioners, albeit slow.

She's disabled her page but you can still view everything but her profile by changing the url.

Simply change the word user to gallery or journals and there you go.

oh, i did my research on that. I viewed her gallery and her recent journals. she didn't even tell her commissioners on what was happening personally. Rather, she posted a journal and then disabled her account.

That's where I grew concerned myself. Customers shouldn't have to go sleuthing around just to find where their commissioner went. Fox fairy should have just left the account up with a simple explanation and a contact email. I understand the whole being overwhelmed and anxious part, as I've had panic moments where I've gone and deleted my journals, galleries, etc. But the way she handled it, would only cause her more head ache and panic with all these equally panicked clients scrambling around to find her, etc.

It's okay to have those moments of extreme anxiety and the like, but don't scare your clients/make yourself inaccessible to them, where convenient contact is essential.

Honestly, this is what bothered me the most. I was emailing her about my transactions with her & she never replied to them then when I finally went to her FA to see what was up it was disabled. It felt like such a road block, I don't know why she didn't just leave her page up so I at least knew what was going on.

Darn it Foxfairy.

We talk all the time. Well, talked all the time. I would have helped her if I would have known how deep of a hole she had dug herself.

She told me she had "reasons" *I really don't feel like talking about her personal life* and needed to get away from the internet to concentrate on her work. She de-activated her fa and made me admin on her facebook page.

I've tried to contact her over the past few weeks. Shutting down isn't the way to deal with problems, she should know better. I've tried to encourage her to stop promising customers free stuff and either finish or refund instead. She really should know better than this.

Indeed. I started worrying when she got a suit from you, while a lot of people were still waiting for their suits. Any sort of update, and I would have been content with the delays. But the multiple disappearances and no updates, as well as ignoring all emails and notes were what really make me uneasy.

I know she did a panel at AC this past con as a fursuit maker. Usually that would come off as professional, but I have lost any hope of this commission being finished, nor working with her again. I enjoyed her suits in the past, but at this point, I want what has been worked on up to date or a full refund. I do not know what else to do logically since it long past the Paypal dispute time frame.

Not that it matters but she paid me in furs and resin blanks and a set of clippers. Also I don't know if it matters but I don't think she ever had your furs because she was supposed to receive them from another person and never shipped them. It's absolutely no excuse for her to ignore you.

She talked a lot to me about the delays, she was aware of them and I was aware of them to a point. At this point after hearing everything I don't think she should ever take commissions ever again and refund all of you immediately.

The last message I received from her was a week ago today.

"gonna emerge from my hole soon"

A few days later is when everything went crazy on her facebook.

I do hope all of you get your money back and she faces these journals soon.

July 10th, her last two submissions (her own suit + Vulpixie's) she was advertising a discounted FULLSUIT commission "due to extenuating circumstances."

If she was talking about her delays, then why is she burdening herself by offering a fullsuit commission? She seems to be creating stress for herself and it's not good for anyone :(

Tomorrow will be 1 month since she disappeared. I hope she comes out of hiding soon and fixes these messes. My own issue with her could be very easily solved, considering she doesn't have to make me anything.

a lot of us still really just want our suits. The last resort would be a full refund. When she deactivated her account on FA without notifying any of her commissioners..that is when everyone started back-tracking and trying to figure out what happened. I've had at least 3 of her other commissioners contact me, wondering if i knew more than them.
I only messaged another commissioner of hers when I grew concerned.
I originally had anticipated the suit head to be finished for a January convention. When that passed, I had hope to have the suit head in time for my last West Coast convention in June.

I was even highly interested in buying some fur scraps off her that she had posted on livejournal. Was willing to pay a little over her asking price and still nothing. I don't know what to do but count my loses to be honest

An un-named mutual friend informed me that she has responded through message in the past 24 hours. I believe the response was through Yahoo IM or Skype, I'm not totally sure. I don't know if she is aware of the A_B or not, I don't know how she couldn't be.

If she is reading this I hope she knows I'm willing to help her sort all this out. If she insists on shirking her responsibilities I'll wash my hands of the situation.

I read the journal. If there was more communication, I wouldn't have posted the beware. But when your commissioners start asking each other on if there have been any updates, when they themselves have received none, I felt really concerned.
If you could respond to any of my many emails I have sent in the past, I would greatly appreciate it. I also initially asked for the brands of fur you used for my commissions. Both fur types look like DF brand. Which I could have easily bought at 14$/yd at my old housing location before my move.

As long as there are updates, I can allow delays.unanswered emails, however keep me highly concerned when you leave a lot of your commissioners wondering.

I am having trouble posting here, since all my payments where made in Money Orders and my scanner just crapped on me. All I could say is that I am also waiting for a commission for a partial that is paid for and that this issue had cause great anxiety and even depression not counting sleepless nights. This is something that we all had work hard to be able to make the commission happen and its not fair to be treated like this. To me the issue is not how long it has taken, I could have waited, after all, what can I do? The issue is the lack of communication, that is why I am upset. A simple email would had been sufficient.

Hello,

As there have been multiple bewares posted against me within the past few weeks, I feel that it is appropriate for me to make a global post addressing the situation.

I understand the gravity of the situation and the utter mess I have made for myself. A month ago I became severely overwhelmed by some issues in my personal life. That led me to shut down my social media accounts. I mistakenly thought that shutting down my social media accounts would allow me to relax and focus more on my work. That turned out to be a huge error on my part and an over all terrible idea.

I would like to say that I am not, have never been, and will never be a thief or a scammer. I am ready and willing to refund any project immediately if that is what the commissioner desires.

It is my goal to answer my emails and provide detailed updates to all parties within the next 7 days. It is my hope that I can handle this as professionally as possible. I am dedicated to providing a satisfactory outcome for every commission (be it via refund or completed product) and to making sure every beware posted about me is marked resolved with an amicable completion of the transaction.

I would also like to apologize to Familliar Nori; she is one of my good friends and I made her admin of my facebook page in order to keep my contact information up while I went on hiatus from the internet. I am very sorry for the pressure put on her.

Again, I am truly sorry for this mess and I take full responsibility for the current state of affairs. I have an email account dedicated to fursuit communication. It is foxfairy.fursuits@gmail.com and I urge all commissioners to contact me there.

If the mods could mark this as resolved. The head arrived right after I got out of surgery today. I am happy with the head, though there are minor cosmetic changes I would like to change myself, but I am overall happy!
Fur needs to evened out just a tiny bit. Will swap out the earring for a steel cuff so it stays on more secure. I may also add a snap so the fur hair can be taken off if I want it. The tail she promised, she mentioned will be completed at a later date.

It arrived sooner than she had told me. Please mark this as resolved.
