Lost Contact: Anthrocon 2013
Sep. 9th, 2013 12:03 amI'm making this entry in the hopes of finding an artist. On the last day of AC, my husband commissioned someone in Artist Alley. I was sitting in artist alley, so I never saw the artist. Apparently this artist had some really nice traditional/digital pieces that were of armor, more than likely Warhammer 40K armor. My husband is a bit of a scatterbrain, so he only mentioned this to me today, and I told him I'd see if I could find the artist. He doesn't remember a name, he doesn't remember anything except that it was the last day and the person was in Artist Alley.
I know it's a long shot, but maybe someone here might know who this person is. I know there's not many artists who do the really detailed Warhammer armor commissions, so hopefully there are not that many it could be.
Thanks for any help.
Edit: I'm told now that it wasn't Warhammer armor, it was more medieval armor. And the commission was traditional, not a mix of both.

Date: 2013-09-09 10:20 pm (UTC)- Any idea what other artists were nearby?
- How much did they pay in general? Price points might help.
- Any details about the table, or who was there?
- Could he look through the dealer directory for AC and maybe find a name that he recalls?
As of now, everything is so vague, this is like looking for a needle in a haystack =\.

According to Rooth, the manager of Artist Alley, there was only one person there that day that had armor pieces in their displayed work, so tracking that person down should be easier than I thought. Yay for someone with a good memory!
I'm really hoping Rooth will be able to help me.
