WHAT: YCH auction I hosted.

WHEN: 2/1/2014 - 2/4/2014

EXPLAIN: I was hosting a $5 YCH auction a few days ago that ended 2/3/2014. I still have it posted up and you can see it on my FA is need be (WARNING IT IS NSFW!) On my submission, I posted a set of rules, as follows:

"YCH Spot is the male colored in blue! Picture will start off as a sketch, but if it goes past $25 dollars, i'll color it. If it goes past $50, i'll shade it and maybe even throw in a snazzy background!

YCH auction will be ending 2/3/2014 at 12 noon, Central US Time!

Be sure to read all the Rules and Info and details here! There's important stuff ya should know before bidding.

Samagthrav2 made a $50 dollar bid. When the auction was over, he was the highest bidder and won. When I asked which character he wanted me to use, He said "I wasn't being serious about that bid! :D"
..and that was the last I heard from him.

Needless to say, if you host YCH auctions, beware of this guy and his alt account. He'll bid falsely on your auction and withdraw in the end.

This can reported to the admins due to the fact that false bids are against the rules. I've seen this happen before with one user who kept bidding on so many auctions in a day

I tried reporting someone who did this to me, and the staff told me they basically don;t care and won;t do anything because FA isnt an auction site.

._. wtf really? I reported a few people on FA for false bids who got banned with no question asked. That's messed up that an admin would push you off like that.

Oh dear, I owe this person two commissions and I never knew they'd do something like that.. They are rather.. unusual.

They try to bargain with me to lower my prices a lot and I always refuse.. even as far to get me to go from $15 to ten cents... since some one on DA did sketches for 10 da points :/

Won't read my TOS and stuff. I'm thinking of cutting ties after I finish both commissions I owe just because i'm rather timid in general.

I think I remember them mentioning they greatly disliked YCH but i'd never think they'd do something like that.

On top of that if you use your commission widget they take like half of the points you earn or something. it's like 80 points for a dollar but with the widget its 100 points for a dollar if you buy a commission but you get less points if you buy directly from DA ?

they take 20% yes. I dunno, for "advertising" or letting you use the widget or something. That is why many ask people to commission them through notes instead. Also I'm not sure if DA have the ability to transfer points back to $/paypal, but I think they wanted a fee for that too.

I do believe they wanted a fee to cover converting points over to PP. But I don't remember them taking anything if everything stayed as points, even using that stupid commission widget. I see that thing sometimes pop up in my messages from people I watch, and I get very sad. I also believe there is (or was) a cap on how much you could charge using the widget. I can't remember the exact amount, but I think it was less than $100.

Honestly, if I was getting a person trying to haggle me down that low, I would block them commissioning me. It's super rude of them to try to get art for that low of a price.
Another red flag is the 'wont read my TOS'.
Toss them to the curb.

They are really strange.. I think i'm going to do just that when I finish this last ink commission I owe them since i've already gotten pretty far on it.

I think they may have a crush on my Fursona as well and I've known them a few years ago and we started talking again recently.. The stories I have are rather odd..

That's kind of somewhat creepy. Though I could have sworn I heard about this person on DA before and I've been on there since 2004.

I wish I had at the time haha... They payed full price for the two they bought off of me before christmas and i'm almost done with them any way. I don't have the money on me any more so once the art is posted I don't think i'll be talking to them any longer..

yeah, i did a commission for them a few years ago and it was constant haggling and acting like they didn't remember how much they agreed to pay. we did the sketch first with the option to do colour later, and after i coloured it they tried to imply the colour wasn't worth what they agreed to. definitely want to avoid this person.
