I hate doing this, and I’ve been avoiding posting here for a while. I’m finally just too annoyed.

Two years ago (January of 2006), I sent a note to Lyx on DeviantART asking for a plush commission. She put me on a waiting list, and all was well. When it got to be the time for her to start working on it, the character I wanted was too difficult, so we decided on another one. I have absolutely no problem with that.

On Sep 29, 2006, she sent me a note saying she was halfway done. She sent me a picture, and the link doesn’t work anymore or I would post it. I remember being very happy with it. I received the link to the picture on January 28th, 2007 and I haven’t been able to get in touch with her since. The email address she has on her DeviantART doesn’t work, sending her notes doesn’t work, and trying to contact her on FurAffinity doesn’t work. She hasn’t logged in to DA for 29 weeks.

If anyone knows how to get in contact with her, let me know. I’m lucky I haven’t paid for this yet, but I got my hopes up. I would at least like my yearly update.

I had a commission pending with her too, that was paid for back in late 2005 I think, she almost finished it too but then she had to make some adjustments for it to look right, leaving me with a half-complete version of the picture...

In the end I never saw the final version and I gave up on trying to contact her after countless DA notes, e-mails and AIM/MSN chat attempts failed, it's hard to say what happened as in 2005 she would be online fairly frequently, but since then she only seems to appear randomly online for brief moments only to then disappear again for months on end...

It's good that you haven't paid as it is highly unlikely that you will see the end product, especially as it's been 2 years since you originally commissioned her and her online availability seems to be very random and unpredictable.

If you can, I'd find someone else to commission for your plushie and tell Lyx that you are no longer want her to finish the commission as it's taken so long and she doesn't communicate with you regarding progress of if there are issues, etc.

I know it was almost done, but we did agree last time we spoke that I would be happy to take a version without the snowfall so it at least looked final, rather than an incomplete due to the rough snowfall I had on the last version you gave me, the problem was you never actually sent it to me... ^^;

and i suck. and i haven't taken commissions since, because of this.

i actually tell people not to pay in advance, because i *know* i am an eater of time. athletic *was* told not to pay in advance as well. not to say that it's his fault i'm being a total ass, i just don't recommend it.

my email is always open, but that's all there is, right now. this is just a temporary livejournal cus someone linked me to this post, so this can't really be replied to either. my email is still open.

and i did mean to send pictures, just that it took a week to take them cus i had no camera, and then i postphoned and then i became a scaredycat. and that's the truth of it. i didn't keep the promise because i'm a flat out pussy. the fact is that the plushy is still about half way done, and atheltics picture is that tiny bit from done. still.

if you don't want it anymore, tell me so. don't think for a second this hasn't bothered me.
