Commissioner beware- Kitty Wolf

I was approached by Kitty Wolf (kitty.wolf.338) on FurryCraigslist (a group on Facebook) as they were asking for badges with fast turnaround for an event.

I did it same day, shipped the next. I even paid for lamination and shipping as I forgot to ask for it in the price quote ($10)

I was a little concerned about the reference they gave me, as I wasn't sure if the character belonged to them or not but chose to do it anyway as it was simple enough and not something like Telephone that is immediately recognizable.

After this weekend I asked AB their opinion on taking commissions from people when you're not sure if their character belongs to them. The consensus was "message the account where you find the ref sheet asking if they are so-and-so on Facebook".

Thinking the issue was over and there was no real problem, I quickly forgot about the post.
I then found these in my email and in my Facebook messages after being made aware of the issue on srslyfurries.

The whole affair has become very upsetting very quickly. Do not do business with Kitty Wolf.

Yeah, holy crap. That definitely escalated quickly. I can't even UNDERSTAND most of what they said at all, but I definitely caught the violent threats from the advice post. :/ Beware very well warranted. So sorry you had to deal with this when you were just asking for advice.

Why do I get the feeling this is a "the guilty dog always barks" scenario? (forgive the expression) Why would she make such a scene, if the character actually does belong to her? Maybe I'm wrong, but the immaturity on display here is just baffling. Will definitely avoid her like the plague! A much deserved beware.

I don't care if she is a teenager, when I was a teenager I wasn't screeching abuse and threats at people when I didn't get my way. I also agree that she's probably a thief too, because resorting to threats instead of providing proof is hardly how to prove your innocence. It's like she thinks she can make this go away if she threatens you enough.

I found (I dig!) her real life name posted.
I'm curious if it would be a good idea to associate it to the beware. I'm asking this before posting as want to hear thoughts (Mods?).

The reason it may be a good idea to link an official name to her:

1) It's facebook. With a generic name. It may confuse other people who go by this alias if they try to interact with an artist who has seen this beware

2) She appears to be linked only to facebook, so there is no FA/DA/whatever as a reference point.

Let me know what you think.

The alias, yes. I can agree to the addition of that to her tag on this beware; but I feel we need to draw the line at the factual name.

We changed the rules to keep this sort of info out if the comm unless absolutely nescessary (people can always change their mind on the availability of this info) and while I can agree WITH you points, they are also a minor and this is a can of worms that need not be opened.

So please do not out her nane in this comm please. Thanks.

Facebook also doesn't allow "fake names" so her account name could get changed to her real on by them or the account could get deleted, it happened to me when someone got mad and reported my furry fb.

And honestly I'd worry about that. If that anchor point --the only one we got, a name "Kitty-wolf" gets deleted/gone -- they disappear into the nether.
I'm just sort of leery since then this entire stint could repeat itself. I'm not really concerned to the art/reference being taken as much as I am with just the harassing and just ugly behavior of this person.

Well that escalated quickly. I remember checking the advice post later yesterday and noticed all the screened comments.
Best to be on the lookout if someone pops up with this character again. No real way of knowing who the legitimate and current owner of said character is.

When in doubt, use Google's reverse image search. You will be able to find the original artist that way and it is quite invaluable. This video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVyF5_XwicQ) will show you how to do use it if you don't know how to.
