EXPLAIN: After the payment was sent. I could never get them to answer anything!
Noted them about a month after I ordered the picture cause I wasn't on any updated lists http://i.imgur.com/Tacgs40.png

Also publicly commented hoping they'd answer http://i.imgur.com/KkmhHhg.png never got it.

After a week or so of no contact what so ever I noted them once more http://i.imgur.com/kJr3hz0.png
making them aware if I didn't hear back I'd be taking it up with paypal.
So when I got no please still I did just that.

They never got back to, no reply to notes after they got payment.
I don't mind waiting for art, but you need to keep updated.
When you keep taking slots it makes people worry and you really should reply back!

I did get my money back http://i.imgur.com/c2LcETd.png without them replying once to that even.

I was very happy when I was able to get a slot, cause I've wanted art from Jailbird for a while now. After this I have unfollowed them and never want to deal with them, because they don't seem to care to reply to comments or notes to people that have paid them for work.

D'oh! I realized after the fact that the end of your LJ cut was right after it started, so the whole thing shows up in the feed, not that it's super long anyways. If you want to edit and fix the LJ cut, go for it. :)

How odd that they silently strung you along, silently marked you for refund, and then silently refunded you. I haven't seen a case where there was such an utter lack of response from the artist... this is as bare-minimum as you can get.
I'm glad they *did* refund you at least, but I'm honestly really surprised about how they handled this. I've never seen that before and it's a bit strange.

I wouldn't say that Jailbird refunded them. They simply disputed the money. I'm glad they did before it escalated into waiting for them to send it though.

Yea they in no way refunded me.
They just didn't say anything to me or even paypal about it.
I would call that taking my money back, not really being refunded.

But yea I did get my money and i wanted to make sure people knew that.
By not saying anything to even paypal if you gets anymore of these they may get their account frozen etc.Not a very good idea

I find it odd that someone would be so silent, but they seem to be giving the silent treatment to several people. A little digging around and there's at least half a dozen people trying to get some kind of information on their commissions. =/

yikes. if i had typed a big long note with links or something i'd be pretty upset if i had to do it over just because they nuked their unread notes.

Doesn't a copy of your reply sit in the outbox?

I don't know about if they delete the note, but every time I've sent something it keeps the copy in my outbox.


Either way it is really frustrating because thats just bad taste in general.

I've seen a few comments on her page/commission journals about people being unable to contact her. I'm starting to think she just dug herself into a hole she can't climb out of..

I tried looking for her queue, but instead found her list of people she needs to refund. There's roughly 100 people on the combined lists. Considering her prices, that's a hell of a lot of money she owes.

She's been taking on more than she can chew for quite a while now. I know her queue had over a hundred pieces in it at one point, which she refunded most of. Yet she keeps taking more she can't seem to keep up with. :c I'm glad you got your money back. Beware well warranted.

this is kind of disappointing- iirc she used to be someone who was really good with taking commissions and getting them done. i guess she's really dug herself into a hole by taking on too much work, i hope she catches up so these things don't keep happening- sorry you had to deal with this, OP.
