WHO: armageddon1234

WHERE: NSFW account http://www.furaffinity.net/user/armageddon1234/
SFW accounthttp://www.furaffinity.net/user/arloriansloane

WHAT: Ignoring my attempts to communicate with him after winning a YCH.

WHEN: June 1st-June 6th

EXPLAIN: He won a slot in one of my YCH http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16713610/ (nsfw warning) and never replied to my first note http://puu.sh/ifWyZ/f8dd60e319.png and to the reminder http://puu.sh/ifWzB/d99c84075f.png in which I asked him for his email and his character's reference within 48 hours from the ending of my auction, as my rules state. As seen in the screenshots, the notes were seen and ignored and on his account there were signs of activity. I would have accepted a withdrawal from the auction as soon as it ended, but this silence not only made me lose time and money, but is also making the other winners wait for someone else to get the slot.
I'm posting this here to warn people about making business with him. Another artist I have contacted said they paid the YCH they won before they bid on mine, but I don't know if they acted like in my case other times.

It seems as if they haven't been online in a few days so they may have had something come up. If they where reading notes and showing activity while ignoring you I would understand but in my personal opinion you should have waited and seen if they where even online before posting this.

That's exactly what the post says - that there were signs of activity and that the notes were read but not replied to.

Oh! My bad. I read it wrong and thought that they posted it because they didn't reply in time.

Hmm, that's one of the locals here in my neck of the woods...

Yeah, really stinks when people do that. I think it would be a good idea to have a rule where if the winner of the auction doesn't pay up in time, the second highest bidder gets the slot. I think that will save you from losing a chunk of money.

I've seen a lot of artists have that rule, actually.

That makes it easy for cheating.

When a person has 2 accounts, the main account makes SB, second account goes a bit higher, main account raises a bit again and then the second account raises a lot.

So the second account won't pay and the main account gets it kinda cheap and safe.

It's a risk. I use this rule in my auctions often.
I guess if someone wants to be extra precautions they can talk to an admin to make sure the accounts aren't linked. That's always an option.

Oh, you are right. Hmmm, have you thought about shortening the payment time to one day or immediately after auction end?

Thanks for posting this! I had the exact same thing happen with a different user, and more or less assumed I couldn't post about it here because money hadn't exchanged hands yet. I'm glad to see that I was wrong
