July Positive Reviews
Jul. 3rd, 2015 02:31 amWhoa, a few days belated but here we are.
If you've had a great commission experience, either as an artist or a customer, please comment here and spread the word. It doesn't have to be a full-on story, though you're welcome to type one! All we need are a few lines on why this person was so great to work with. You can also recommend companies, such as printers or fursuit-making teams, as long as it's relevant!
There are plenty of reasons to post someone here: perhaps they went above and beyond the call of duty to fix a problem, or were so prompt with communication and payment it was like having them right next to you, or were very professional and courteous every time you contacted them.
To help keep things organized, please follow this simple form:
1. Name of the person you recommend:
2. Link to person's website or art page:
3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person:
4. Details (Here's where you tell us why they are so awesome! What made the transaction go so well? Perhaps link to the art or suit you bought/sold if you feel like sharing. Please mark NSFW if the subject matter is adult!!):
If you have multiple people to recommend, please put them in separate comments to keep things organized.
Trades are just as welcome as paid transactions. But try not to post for friends (or yourself) who are looking to be commissioned. If customers are what they/you seek,
teenycom,
artsales or
artcommissions is for them!

4. Details Please note that this is all NSFW. I ran across their stream a few months back and the person started opening up for commissions. I liked the artist not for his artwork but for the personality he carries. Garuda is very laid back, easy to chat with, he makes you feel like real family. Not only when you are looking for a reason to smile, he gives you one.
I sent in my commission a little over a month ago to him wanting a picture done revolving my character with someone else. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16597432/
Garuda was very professional, his prices are very affordable, breaks down the way the art works, the first half of the money is non-refundable and the rest of the money gets sent after the picture is done. He draws up to three sketches to choose from, after choosing Garuda stays in contact with you, lets you know what's up.
Example: http://gyazo.com/ba358464b40b90f20164c3c3a7118b37
When he is sure that you give the “go” he will start working on it. He streams as often as he can, normally he has a job, but he keeps you in the loop personally! He sends a rough sketch to continue the process, http://gyazo.com/3b420d6bd5b21048bb9fe0c9d0d42ac3 if you happen to be in his streams, which he normally does the work on, https://www.picarto.tv/live/channel.php?watch=garudasix you will see the good work that this artist does. He will talk to you, ask you all kinds of questions regarding your commission. When the picture is complete, he asks you to send the final payment and sends you the final link.
I find him to be very reasonable, responsible, and someone I can count on. I look forward to doing more work with him and look to see his clients enjoy his work just as much as I do.

3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person: I have done several business transactions with this artists. From the beginning of April until recent date of July.
4. Details: This artist I have known for way under half a year, every time I seen him online, I was highly impressed with the detail he puts in. He isn’t the type of artist to rush anything. He takes in stream commissions that look like this:
Examples:

He takes no more than a few weeks, he asks people to be patient, very caring and loving. He has a few health problems but he works hard to do justice by you. Any time he struggles he does his best, sinks in every effort. If you point out a problem, he goes back to fix it to the best of his ability. I have nothing but great experiences with this amazing person! I hope that many more of you guys can reach out and commission him, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15951444/ and share your wonderful experiences and art!

Time: 6/21-6/25
Details: Got in contact with him on the 21st and paid. Said it would be a week. I ask him about a WIP 4 days later and he gets it to me. Mostly everything is perfect and I say what I want fixed before color. He does so and sends me the final product on the 25th. Fast, friendly and very talented! Would recommend

3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person: June 17, 2015 - June 18, 2015
4. Details): The commission was low-input, meant to be finished quickly, but Red-Dog did an outstanding job of not only capturing how my character looked but just the right mood to suit the character's personality. What's more, she was very friendly and professional throughout and an absolute joy to commission.

3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person: May 5, 2015 - June 30, 2015
4. Details: Kaffeinated_pup was very polite and professional all through the commission process, and he was very good at both keeping in contact and sending WiP shots of the commission. He did a fantastic job of capturing the characters as well, and really went above and beyond on all the small details that really make the picture work so well. I definitely recommend him!

3. Approximate time period of when you did business with this person: June 27,2015 - July 2, 2015
4. Details: The artist did a fantastic job on the art I commissioned her to draw. The piece is only a chibi, but it is very well detailed and includes a fairly complicated background and lighting effects. She was also very professional and very good at keeping in touch and checking to make sure she got all of my character's details correct.

3. about 3 weeks start to finish. took slightly longer than originally planned due to shoulder injury, but still quite prompt.
4. Roz was running special on feral character portraits for $25. I wanted her to actually hash our design for character that was basically a transitional fossil critter, so actually paid $40 for the commission as it included design work. I gave her some prehistoric skeletal remains to piece together as a "missing link" type character and she came up with great design for him:

3. ordered the slot on 6/20, was completed on 6/23, edits requested done the next day on 6/24
4. rizu opened commissions and me and my friend had been waiting for their slots to open so we went and ordered right away upon seeing the slots open up!
i ordered 2 icons from them, and oh man! i am so impressed with their communication and their animating skills! not only that, but we were expecting a long wait but it was only done in a few days which really made us happy! these are the finished icons in question:
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/ali/ on our profiles :')
when they finished, there was an issue with size restrictions and also a border but they were super attentive to fixing anything i asked for! i would recommend them especially for their animated icons, they're just too precious! overall it was a super satisfying experience and i hope they can get more recognition!!

Time: July 10, 2015 - July 11, 2015
Details: I had officially met Cenegan for a short time before commissioning him. I saw him working on a comic and such, in which I was highly impressed with the amount of detail he put in each picture, the way he worked hard on the colors to get them to really pop out. I am simply amazed and speechless. I asked him to help me remake my logo in which my pin up mouse was added.
Picture: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17082395/
I was highly impressed, we started talking about it on the tenth, when he finally began it, he dedicated his time to it and was very patient with me. By the time I fell asleep and awakened, he was already done with it. I can only say.. Thank you for making my vision come true. Check him out, he is open for commissions..

Date: 2015-08-03 12:34 am (UTC)2. Site: http://weasyl.com/~kittiara
3. Time period: June 25, 2015
4. Deets: Kittiara is a pleasure to get work from (I've gotten two commissions from her so far). She opened for blue pencil sketches on June 25th, and I emailed her and got a slot. I asked for my character holding my real-life pet snake (I gave photo links as reference). She is always polite and prompt to respond to her emails--very professional! I asked if she could bring it to Anthrocon with her so I could have the physical piece, and she did! She even uploaded it separately (vs. the batch she uploaded that contained my piece) per my request, so I could have it in my "collections" on Weasyl. The piece is here: https://www.weasyl.com/submission/1017144/blue-rivkah
EDIT: Forgot to mention! It was all done in one day. She finished within half an hour of my ordering it.

Date: 2015-08-03 01:01 am (UTC)2. Site: http://weasyl.com/~embriel and http://furaffinity.net/user/embriel
3. Time Period: June 25 - July 6
4. Deets: Embriel posted a journal offering discounted digital painted badge commissions for completion before Anthrocon. I asked for a slot, and I asked if I could print and laminate the badge myself to save on shipping. They said that was fine, and at completion even sent me the .PSD to print from. I was asked what date I'd like it done by, and I said July 5. On July 2, I got an email with the sketch to approve, and it looked great. On July 5, I got an email saying that they had gotten ill that day and had got thrown a little off schedule. The next day I got an email with the completed piece! Even with that tiny hiccup of less than a day (which was no issue, especially since I was kept up-to-date), the commission went so smoothly and quickly. When I tweeted a picture of it all laminated up before AC, Embriel retweeted it or replied to it (I don't remember which) and said something along the lines of "I love seeing commissioners with my art!!"
Overall, a great experience. :D
