Beware: MamaGizzy [Resolved]

Hi! This is my first time posting here, so sorry if anything's confusing! I also didn't really want to post this because it felt a bit meager--but this has been eating away at me for the past few months. ;-;

PNG to an Adoptable

EXPLAIN:
So I have experience when it comes to buying (and selling) adoptables. Usually after the purchase; it's always good to give the buyer the PNG for their purchase. But, sadly, this was not the case. I paid $10 for the adoptable and when I was told I would get the PNG late, I didn't think too much of it. I thought it'd be like a "you'll get it within a week because I am busy" sort of thing but to my dismay this did not happen.

I waited three months before I contacted MamaGizzy again.

18 days later she replies, saying she didn't realize I didn't get my adopt. I got a little eager that I would finally get the PNG and I sent her a link to the adoptable page... Only to be ignored again. I had also anxious sent that "Hello" message in case she forgot again but I was still greeted with silence. And, as the screencaps suggest, she has read each of the last two notes but has not replied.

I got to admit I'm pretty bummed over this. :(

EDIT: I was able to receive the PNG. So this issue was resolved! <3

If you paid via paypal, you can try to force a refund, because she seems to be ignoring you, and she really just took your money. And that is not cool.

EDIT: DUR I apparently didn't actually read that you had paid with paypal. Demand a refund.

I ended up asking for a refund if i'm not going to get what's promised.
I feel it might be out of the question since apparently there's a 'no refund' policy but we'll see. o:

I would force a chargeback anyways, since legally they cannot enforce a 'no refund' policy, as you have not gotten what you pay for. And as said below, your 180 days expire next month.

I would not put this off, since it is possible for them to keep ignoring you until the deadline passes.

I would also suggest maybe requesting a refund, or at least sending them a note threatening that if you don't receive the file you'll file a dispute with paypal. When I looked at their deviantart page, they responded to a comment that was posted ~2 hours ago. Maybe try posting a comment on their page regarding your multiple attempts to contact them? If they continue to ignore you/hide the comment I would definitely go through with a dispute.

Yeah... I've been keeping a close eye on her activity after I first sent her the notes. So I got really paranoid over my messages going over her head.

I did ask about a refund or finally getting the PNG because I really do want this to be resolved and not brushed under the rug.

IAlso, is it possible to file a dispute with Paypal? I think there's a window open from 30-60 days (unless I heard wrong) so it might be too late for that. :(

I believe the window is actually 180 days! If you go to your paypal overview/summary you should be able to click on the payment (or click a link that says "view details on classic site") and there should be a box down near the bottom labeled "About Disputes". If you sent them payment in Feb, 180 days would be in August, so I would file asap as that 180 days expires next month.


Unfortunately if you send the payment as friends and family you can't file a dispute, so hopefully you sent it as goods and services. :(

Sadly I do remember using the 'Payment as friends and family" option (I was new to Paypal at the time, still am now). But I will be sure to Pay for Goods and Services next time in case issues like this crop up. So at least I learned something.

Fortunately, I was able to get the PNG. So I am satisfied. :)
