Kannos/Starfinder/-Star- Posting Again

I commented on an older A_B entry about this but thought I'd make it a post in case it was missed. Kannos/Starfinder appears to be posting again under the alias KannosWD on Sofurry. She is also on DA but I'm not sure how active she is there. She seems to be active on Sofurry though, as she is replying to notes and her art is in the featured section of the site.

Her journal reads: I'll be uploading here from now on, since I cant upload on IB anymore. If I owe you a commission note me here, I plan to have my backlog finished off by the end of the month!

Strange. I thought she had a job and didn't need to do commissions anymore, and that was why she'd left commissioners hanging on IB?

I should also mention she made an FA account with the same name and posted the same message in each submission claiming "she was posting to get people's attention so she could track down who she owes".

The FA account was promptly suspended though.

Not sure why, since she still has the Kannos account without the wd part.

She did mention on IB shortly before her ban that she was having issues with impersonation. She could be parking accounts to prevent imposters from springing up on other sites.

She'll have them all finished by the end of the month, yeah, okay, sure. She must be working from a different backlog list than the ones I've seen victims compile over the years.

She's a scammer, no bones about it. And the fact that her fans don't question her site bans just goes to show how gullible you have to be to give her money. She's not going to refund anyone or finish any commissions because her attitude appears to be "I'm awesome, give me your money for being awesome and I might consider doing some art for you if I feel like it but even if I don't then I deserve free money anyway because I'm awesome."

She's not going to learn until people either stop commissioning her or she gets banned everywhere.

It probably won't ever happen. To take legal action is expensive both financially and time-wise, even in small claims court. Plus you have to factor in the nature of her work and what the commissioner is buying, which would look really questionable and be embarrassing to draw any form of attention to in an environment outside of the fandom. Not to mention that all of these transactions have primarily taken place over the internet, which is a whole 'nother giant mess to deal with. Considering that most people have probably given her less than $500, it's not worth the effort, even to prove a point. It'd just be a hollow victory.

She's a scammer, but is anyone thinking this might NOT be her, but an impersonator? There appears to be no new art, and IB I believe had caught an impersonator trying to solicit commissions under her name. An easy thing to do, and perhaps easy to get away with since "Kannos rips people off" is almost expected.

According to the posted commission info it is still pay upon completion. I would think an impersonator would have changed that to pay upfront. Otherwise it would be a lot harder to scam anyone.
