the commission was for a 16 page vorish art series involving 2 mlp ocs

WHEN: i first contacted the artist on April 7 2014, i sent money for the full series on April 9th 2014, i received the first page on October 14 2014 i have not received any more

EXPLAIN: on April 7 2014 i contacted the artist to ask for a commission. we worked out the details and on April 9th i sent the full price for the series. after that point i sent several notes asking for updates

Yikes... a very, very long commission queue yet keeps on taking more commissions. Also saying they're in college as well. Put two and two together, not good at all when I saw that message. (my opinion)

And that block and ignoring the notes? ...well OP, I don't think you're going to get your money back at all. I understand personal drama, getting burnt out and also in college, but there is no reason to ignore AND blocking you as well, and not doing anymore of your work.

Personally betting they're taking more commissions/money from new customers and doing the same to them. That's quite a lot of money you spent for the commissions and not getting your money's worth, only a tiny bit of it.

Also just wondering, did the artist did a good job on it compare to their other normal arts or did you felt it was rushed? (not my place to ask i guess but just curious, no need to reply for this one)

I find it interesting this artist is taking on yet more commissions, despite not finishing the first ones they've committed to. I expect more artist-bewares of them in the future.

Hey there. I had the same problems. I commissioned a foalcon image with 2 MLP Oc's. I received a WIP image in late january then was constantly told "it's being worked on, it's almost done" only to never receive the image.

I started to notice a trend. When I'd inquire about the status of my picture the day after something would go terribly wrong. Whether it be their computer breaking or something else. I got suspicious. So I started to do a little digging, and found a horse news article from 2014.

Essentially the article showed that MistyDash/ChuckyBB are the same person named "Tom".

Is there any definite and concrete proof they are the same person? The deviant art page claims they are different people, but there is no proof otherwise.

In the meantime this will be screened.

Since it appears that you're keeping up with this user can you please PM me so that we can figure out how you've linked all these accounts to the same person? Obviously Mistydash and Chuckybb are the same users, but the other names don't show any proof currently.

Once again, we have to ask for proof. We do not allow usernames to be claimed to be the bewareee unless you have definitive proof that they are the same people.

Do they utilize the same Paypal address? Is some of the art crossposted?

just today i saw an advertisement for commissions from chucky bb (who there is plenty of evidence in the original article is misty dash)when i saw that i looked at his front page and saw it said

"as soon as we get through and send you a bill and you pay, the commission will be done within a week....
...Commissions are open :) just note me your commission request and i will happily do it for you. I use Paypal for payments, as soon as I get the money I will begin with you commission unless there is a waiting list. If you are placed in the waiting list, you will be informed via note, other than that if you are not informed, assume your commission is being done. I don't do refunds, sorry if this bothers you but when I take commission money, it tends to go out to debts I need to pay" (i cut out some of the unrelated stuff for space)

the tldr of that is that you will get your art within a week, unless you are put on a waiting list, which you will be informed of after you pay, and he doesn't offer refunds. given that i have been waiting over 2 years the waiting list you will be put on is probably pretty long, and yet he is still advertising that commissions are open

(for the record this is the message i tried to send when i found out i was blocked there too:

"honestly, i just want what i am owed, once you provide that i will back off. you are the one who has acted in bad faith(or your girlfriend, i dont know, i assumed you were the same person) when you flat out tell me that you will not fulfill the obligations you agreed to, or return the money i paid for said service, you are just giving me more ammunition to use on your artists beware page(which wouldnt have even been created if i wasnt blocked from all comunications on the mistydash page"))

This community has a blanket procedure that we can't allow people to drop names without definitive proof. We understand that it's frustrating when it's fairly obvious in this instance, but there's no exemptions.

just so you guys are kept in the loop, i have told the artist not to bother paying me back. i am not saying he fulfilled his obligations, because he hasn't, i am just sick of dealing with him criticizing and insulting me whenever i manage to get ahold of him. i don't consider this issue resolved at all, but i no longer expect him to pay me, or finish the art. i have given up. i am sick of his ridiculous excuses, and claims that i am the only commissioner having problems with him
