artists_beware | I feel bad doing this but here goes...

OK this is my first post here, but i felt it was about time I mentioned this one in case other people have had problems with her...

On Deviantart there is an artist called 'Otakukitty', (http://otakukitty.deviantart.com) who about 8 months ago was wanting to have someone buy her a print account there ($25) in exchange for a picture drawn by herself...

It seemed easy enough and later that day on DA notes we confirmed what i wanted (a chibi version of my character Tempest) and that I would pay for the account before she started, so that afternoon i did so and all was OK...

2 months passed without any sign of an update, DA note, sketch, let alone the finished picture, so I asked what was happening, a week later she informed me that she would get to it soon and that she usually didn't take that long...

Again another month passed and I sent her a note asking if she actually was going to do anything, resigning myself to thinking that it was a lost cause already.

The next day she replied telling me the lineart was done and sent me the link, which was fine and what I wanted, so I confirmed it with her and told her to go ahead with colouring it and such... she said it would take a few days...

2 months later, still nothing on her Deviantart page and no replies to my notes confirming everything was ok or if she was done... so i sent another reminder asking what had happened...

It's been another month since i sent that note, so today I sent one more hoping that she'd reply at least and let me know why it would take 3 months to colour a picture when the lineart was completed...

I'm hoping that she'll at least finish it soon; but the way it's been handled has led me to post here to warn anyone else who may be thinking of commissioning her in the future...

It's actually tempting to colour it myself, post it on Deviantart and go "thanks, but no thanks", although I'm not one to hold grudges and would rather just count my losses and forget about it now.
