Dissapointed

Way back in March SPIRITWOLVEN and I agreed on a trade. I would send her my real horse tail that had been cured and fitted for furry backsides and she would make me a tiger tail/ears set(for my husband) and a white fox tail(for my friend). They have not arrived.
"I'm working on them" was the response each time I emailed. The last time,She said she would have them in the mail by July 20 for our yearly tri-state furmeet. They didn't show. It is now 2 days until I leave for MFM. Even with priority mailing, they will not arrive in time, IF she even had them ready. The last 2 emails I have gotten no response at all.

So now I'm out of a tail as is 2 other people. Id not been wanting to post here about her but now I don't really care if she reads this,gets mad and I figure Im not going to receive anything anyway. The events I wanted them for are either done and over with or will be very soon.

Ill be there, Im gonna go to the hair store and make myself a new tail from kanekalon. Just watch for the long reddish-brown horsetail. My husband will wear his old ratty tiger tail I made in 2004.

LOL she has done the same thing to poor leah_freenote with a fursuit that she won in an auction last year.

Indeed, if she can't get it to you by a deadline even in a trade it's bad business and others need to be warned.

I'm still hoping. My convention is end of Sept.. So she still has time, but I didn't even bother going to the convention in April I was supposed to go to because I was so upset that I didn't have my suit yet.

And it wouldn't make me feel so cheated if she at least posted progress pictures of it. She originally told me when I won it I would get it in Nov07, and now it's almost September and she still is waiting on fur! Which I don't understand why should couldn't at least build the framework for it while waiting so all she had to do was throw the fur on and be done with it.

Though if you look at her FA gallery, she has posted a few new suits which it looks like they were all for her and her mate.. and not anyone that has been waiting on her. Which just makes it kinda sting more considering she said she had to wait on my suit because of her important Metrocon suits. :(

Ive just given up on them. last bit of hope faded out on the July 20 furmeet when they didn't arrive when she told me in an email July 9th they would be sent out the next week. I had the tail for sale and she offered to trade. I accepted and sent it to her.

Did she at least offer pictures of what she was sending you before she "sent" them so you knew that she actually did them? It's possible that she just shrugged you off.. That sucks. It's not fair, I'm sorry love. :(

Im not gonna stress out on this. Ive been doing so and Im not going to anymore.. Its too late for what I needed them for. The more I worry about stuff the worse the facial nerve problem gets and I have enough worry right now.

She's been doing this to a lot of people. It basically boils down to the 'bit too more than she can chew' mistake. It's something that she really needs to learn to handle, that there's a queue of your commissions and to not open up your arms for more when you haven't even started on your old work.

She has a lot of growing up to do business wise and really sit down with these outstanding commissions and actually do those FIRST before taking on new projects, no matter what her financial situation is.

And this I only say because my girlfriend is a good friend of her's (she's not one of my own) and from all the stories I've heard. She actually does have Leah's fur, I don't know why she hasn't sent an email to that effect. Laziness is all I can deduce. "Maybe if I don't talk about it, they'll forget and go away"

i will admit they are not done still... like laney said it is the bit more than i can chew mistake. i am working on catching up on everything... but i have been having some health issues (cancer worries and weird masses growing under my skin that seems to be limiting my movement) that have been keeping me from completing much. When i am not at work i am at a doctors office. I am really sorry about everything and all of the stress everyone has been getting over all this but i just don't like talking about my health issues with people and i keep thinking i can finish stuff in time but it doesn't ever seem to happen. I am sorry., oh and laney leahs black fur is in but her pink fur is mia. they shipped it but it never got here.

You could have emailed me about the issues with health(.. I would and do fully understand such issues( I had a liver transplant and suffer from Immune system melt down) If you havent gotten to the tiger set email me.

She has contacted me and she says she still going to get them to me. She also agreed on updating my mates set as his character has changed since the deadline. I like to believe the best about people. I did tell her could return my tail and call the trade off, thats when she said no she would get the items to me.

I don't know if this ever actually happened for you or if this issue has ever been resolved, truly, but to make a long story short ...I and my girlfriend of a year have spent the past year getting repeatedly burned by the person you know as spiritwolven. I won't go into details as I feel that would be unnecessarily dredging up the past, but during this time we not only saw the beautiful horsetail you traded fall into neglect and disrepair, but we also saw evidence of other trades and commissioners spiritwolven has wronged . Fortune and hard work have paid off so we are now on our way to balancing our lives, and we lucked upon a local fur trader who's going to be getting some horsetails in. After reading over your post and seeing you endure a taste of what we have gone through, and identifying with many of the physical and emotional problems you face (my girlfriend and I share a number of disorders and problems with you) we feel strongly that it, if it be in our power, it would be the morally right thing to, if we can, replace your horsetail. If you could give me a description of the tail (it's been a while since I've seen it and I don't remember more than it was dark colored ) we will do our best to put it right at last.

LeeLee, I am so sorry to hear that you too were burned by this person. She has done so for a long time and really never gets any serious reprimand. After over 2yrs of me basically trolling her posts offering commissions she ended up sending me the materials cost of the horsetail which by that time would not replace it due to the price increase of said materials..
I very much appreciate your offer to replace it and it really is very very kind of you to offer. The one I had cent her was a medium chestnut color. Im not sure on the exact length of it but when I wore the tail it hung down past my knees and I am 5'6".
I dont use LJ much these days other than keeping a journal so family and friends can keep up with the current lymphoma issues. I will message you my email so you can reach me faster/better.
