Does anyone have any experience with LamiTheLion?
We started a trade a long time ago and I finished my half, unsure about his half. He told me he had it I think at some point and was going to send it so I told him my addy. I am yet to recieve it :C

Just now I IM'd him and this happpened:

lamithelion is offline and will receive your IMs when signing back in.

UffishJabberwock (4:47:50 PM): I would like you to reply to my PMs on FA so I can send you the badge I made you. I was wondering if you finished mine as well.

LamiTheLion is unable to receive offline IMs.

Seeing as you can leave IMs for people when they are offline and it says it above, but then can't send it makes me think he blocked me and is avoiding me for some reason.

EDIT:
Found out that he DID block me because I got my mate to add him to her buddy list and he was online. I made her IM him about it and he said he was going to block her as well because he "doesn't want anything to do with the fandom anymore." So he won't even finish my badge before he leaves the fandom. I personally see that as rude since you can finish up old ends and THEN leave.
I also read his journal on FA and apparently he is going to FurFright even though he doesn't want anything to do with the fandom after it. Doesn't make sense to me to go to Furfright if he detests furries as much as he says he does.

Actually, I believe you can't send offline messages to people to have older versions of AIM. But I digress. It's still in bad taste that he logged off so conveniently, however. :\

Older versions of AIM don't support it, neither do a lot of alternative IM clients, like BitLBee, Pidgin, and Trillian. I agree about the hasty logoff though...

Pidgin, as of 2.4.0 at least, supports offline messages for AIM. Trillian still doesn't, though, so far as I know.

He goes to party, not to be a furry. Most of his friends are furs, and the easiest way to hang out with the bulk of them at once is *gasp* at a con.

And your point would be what, exactly? If he's backing out of a commission/trade because "he doesn't want to be associated with the fandom", but then going to a con, it doesn't matter *why* he's going to the con. His behavior still contradicts his stated reason for reneging, and it's still both an insult to the other person, who did what *he* asked, and makes him look like a liar. Why is he willing to be seen in public with furries if he's so put off by furries that he can't even finish one last trade for fairness to the other person involved?

Sounds to me then that he's not leaving the fandom, he's leaving art. Furry fandom and furry art can be seperated. If you're going to a Furry con to hang with furry friends, my guess is, you're a furry. Sorry to y'know.... burst your bubble. xD

So he is willing to surround himself with furries for several hours to "party," but he won't fulfill a promise he made to a furry that he is morally obligated to fulfill because he no longer wants to be associated with the fandom? Regardless of his reasons for going to a con, it seems like doing so would expose him more to the fandom than simply drawing a picture that he owes somebody, so it's still contradictory.

He used to be a pretty cool guy. Far as I know he's only going to FF to hang with a couple of friends who are still in the fandom.

I'm friends with said friends, but have never had the, err... pleasure of coming across Lami himself. To my knowledge after that last con he's done for good.
