EXPLAIN: In October of 2014 I was looking through furry facebook groups for sales, seeing one for a Kigu I contacted the seller. a design was agreed on, price, and deposit was made that day. https://www.dropbox.com/s/oc8mtapqiapg0s0/proof1.png?dl=0 I was promised WIP's of the work, and it seemed like it would be a relatively quick turn around of a few months initially. After a few months I contacted them back. Over time, responses became less and less, until I eventually was given no response at all and my requests for contact ignored.
In an effort to get some contact, I attempted to contact them on their FA. I was initially greeted with a response! Great! I thought maybe we could just close out the whole situation and move on. I let some time pass, maybe something had come up. I contacted them again, on FA. At some point after the shout was left, I got a note from someone (cannot find said note, if I do I will add a cap of it here) saying not to expect my money back, and the seller has done this before with many people waiting for refunds. Some more time passes, and their account was apparently hacked for awhile, a friend had taken over their account for the mean time to remove the hacked images. I thought to myself, awesome, at least they know and will get in touch with me after the move and life stuff. Things happen, I understand completely. Time passes. I moved back to facebook, per the first screen shot to try and get in contact again. Ignored once more. Today (7/7/2016) I see a journal from their FA. That leaves us where we are now. I am blocked, unable to get resolution at this time. I have to say I am very disappointed, I was and have been willing to work with this person. Reading back over some of the facebook messages, I probably should have worded some of them differently. The comments about noticing an icon change so I know they are active seem a little stalkerish in my mind now, but at the time I thought it was a good way to let them know I did notice they were recently active and I would like a contact back.

Wow! What a trial, I'm sorry you went through this. Even if they wanted to deal with it over facebook rather than FA, that's NO reason to block you. Just say, "Hey, it'd be easier/better for me to hash this out with you over facebook, can we move the conversation back over there?" Blocking you and not contacting you over facebook themselves to at least let you know their reasoning is shoddy behaviour.

I'm totally sympathetic to suffering from depression, I've gone off the reservation before while I've had outstanding commissions. But even when I've been halfway through working on them, I refund my clients IN FULL as the person who is cancelling, and politely let them know that due to personal health reasons I cannot continue working any longer, apologies, etc. Then I go put my social media accounts on lockdown and take the downtime I need. That's what you do as a professional. If you suffer from ANY disease or disability, you take responsibility for it as a part of your life, albeit a shitty one. You don't leave people hanging. Repeatedly.

Sincerely hoping you EVENTUALLY get your refund, man. Fingers crossed for you.

Interesting. So I take it they block everyone they owe, then post a journal asking them to contact them? Then everyone they don't owe sees no comments and assumes everything is okay, and that it is safe to commission the person. Brilliant!

I feel sorry for anyone associated with that artist.

I don't really buy that excuse. She could have always contacted you to say that she would prefer you talk over FB. I hope you get your refund soon.

Yeah, pretty much agreeing with what people said above about the block. I dont really get that choice, especially if they were going to block me and then not tell me or contact me until I had to go out of my way to try and re-establish contact.

The part about the stream I dont get either, the steaming site they used is join.me, blocking on FA doesnt prevent blocked people from going into the stream. I thought about it, before they contacted me on facebook. I just really want this whole thing over and done with. It has been a trying experience.

Not that this makes anything better at all, but what I took from the streaming part is that they were worried that if people saw you posting on their FA that you hadn't got a refund then people would be less likely to pay them for stream commissions?

Again, that doesn't make anything they did okay, just that I think that's what they tried to tell you.

I hope you get your refund without too much more grief, you are a lovely client and I'm sorry you had to go through this!

Thank you very much. I hope this gets resolved soon, but as the weekend has passed and I did attempt again to contact them, only again to get silence I doubt it will. My faith in the matter being handled is pretty much null at this point.

You are a wonderful person to order from, my transaction with you went as amazing, swift and hassle free as it could have. When I have free money I certainly will be ordering from you again ^^
