I hope this is allowed....
I am trying to compile a list of things people have said to artists and commissioners that have a negative view/stance on various subjects surrounding art. Mediums, pricing, marketing, art itself, methods, etc.  Anything and everything, even if it seems minor. What arguments have you seen out there?
Please number/point if you have more than one to share.

Examples of what I'm looking for:
-Digital is worth more than traditional.
-Art isn't a real job. (Everyone knows this one)
-Digital art is cheating.
-Patreon is a scam/paywall.

Variations on the same thing and details are welcome because sometimes it can add another dynamic to the opinion that must also be tackled.

Yeah it's not like it's actually harmful or anything and I'm not resentful toward the people who do it, it's really just a minor pet peeve,d but it's just so frequent that it becomes a real headache.

And yeah. I've honestly crippled myself and become really shy and nervous about self-advertising because of receiving a couple messages along the lines of #4, and it infuriates me I've let it affect me, but it's also profoundly impactful to hear that. Feels kind of shitty - you like the artist and their work enough to follow them, but feel like them doing their best to pay their bills is an annoyance to you enough that it warrants you sending them a nasty message?
