Hey all...

Just dropping a note to say about a someone people who commissioned me that I've had problems with (thankfully no one's been an outright deadbeat on me yet)

Moldred - A nice enough guy, but I had continuous problems maintaining contact with him via email and messenger, and would often go for weeks or even months with no word. He *eventually* did get back to me enough that I was actually able to finish his commissions, but it was a pain in the ass to keep in contact with him on any kind of regular basis. Though I've heard some not-so-kind things about him from other artists, usually dealing with the subject matter he commissions for being a little too weird for their tastes (even though it technically wasn't on their list of things they wouldn't draw, my guess is because they just hadn't thought about it).. even went so far as to say "I'm not catering to his sick little fantasies anymore"... I don't know what that was about, since other than contact I've not had any problems with him, but I figured it was something you all should know.

All I know about Moldred is he never bids on any of my auctions. Sometimes I wish he would cause I've seen some of the amounts he's willing to drop into an artist's lap. Maybe he thinks I'm too weird.

well he stopped bidding on my stuff after the last commission I got from him- but I saw him at AC and he didn't seem to have any hard feelings about it- if you've ever seen the gallery of the stuff that he's commissioned from artists, it'd give you a real idea of what he's into. I can't remember the link now, though... bleh.

i've only gotten one commission from moldred, but from wot i can remember it was pleasant (although i do think that he was hard to contact, initially). anyways, thought i'd give him the benefit of the doubt, and say my experience with him was very nice ^^.

well, I've been commissioned by him a few times before, one of them being a current one I'm working on. I've never really had any problems with Moldred. I know that sometimes it takes a while, but I've personally never waited longer than a week for a response. I will say though, the last couple that I did for Moldred were very clean and nothing out of the ordinary, this one.. *shrugs* is a bit odd, but as I understand it, all of his pictures coincide with the stories he writes. :) So I have no issue with it. Besides, he's very kind in keeping it to the ratings I have, so I'm greatful for a kind bidder willing to work with me. =^.^=
I apologize for anyone else's problems with Moldred though, I guess it varies from person to person, and their views? Though, I don't know the whole story on everything, so I can't say much either. :P ..

I've not been commissioned by him, but he's really good about auctions. All of mine that he won he paid right away. Just my experience with him. :)

I've had two friends commissioned by Moldred, and their experiences were... well, not bad, but trying. On the plus side, he paid them both VERY promptly, which is most of what I ask from a bidder, as long as they're courteous with their E-mails. Bottom line was that he'd cut off contact so that they, basically, didn't have to finish their commissions because they didn't have feedback from him. So they got full pay, worked their butts off for a bit and then just ended up slightly irritated but otherwise unharmed that he wouldn't tell them what he thought so they could finish (i.e. finish the rest of his pictures, etc.). I say that's a pretty good deal, even if a little annoying.
