Sites like Furbuy/Furbid exist for auctions, but most people, myself included, would rather do so on our FA pages. They are quite common and tend to be more successful. But, what do you do about people who break the auction rules?

Examples;
Not paying up after winning.
Fake bidding.
Hiding bids/retracting bids.
And a specific situation;

Someone had bid on my auction, was locked in a bid war, noted me, and claimed the other person was cheating and wanted to retract their bids. The other person was not 'cheating' or breaking any of my rules what so ever. Said person (who noted me) also tried to dictate my rules (no multi bidding, which was allowed, and the person did them self) and tell the same bidder what to do.

Should I disqualify him? But, this would also make the bid war useless, and I'd hate to rehost it because one slot had to be reset. What should I do? I don't think it's fair to the person being accused of cheating if I cancel the bids, since both parties warred on it. But I'm afraid the person will refuse to pay up, or hide his comment. I did tell him he would no longer be allowed to participate in my auctions, and I would report him if he did so, but I'm still worried.

EDIT; The person who was bidding was NOT fake bidding, the other user was just claiming such. He ended up saying some stuff that hinted he would scam me if no one out bid him, so I banned him from all future auctions and rehosted the auction due to the fact that he had bid in all slots, and it would mess everything up.

I had no net, sorry this is a late edit.

Edit: I re-read the artist's LJ where I was supposed to get this icon. It was called "Free icon day." People had the option of donating for the cause, and if it reached a certain mile marker, the icons would be of higher quality.

Edit 2: Actually, here:
http://grey-jackal.livejournal.com/99567.html

This is the LJ where the icons were promised, as well as the artist. I wasn't very informative with my post, and I want people to read this and get a better understanding.

However as far as I (and a few others) can see, she doesn't owe me anything. Since it was supposed to be 'free icon day', and I donated simply to help the mile marker to get a better icon.
You won't see my comment on there because I made the comment on my now purged LJ account, AuroraBorealia.

Edit 3:
Poked artist, said don't bother, artist did icons anyway. Very grateful.

Over one year ago now, I donated to an artist (who's name i'll keep retracted for now) who had fallen on hard times, and promised every donator would receive an icon. Then depending on the amount she received, the icons would be more complicated (shading, TWO icons, etc). I've poked and prodded this artist, and i've been fed excuses, and that she's 'working on it'. Yet, her gallery shows no proof of this, and a friend of mine who also donated her has not received anything.

So here is where my question lies:
Do I have ANY right to be angry, or make a beware over an icon that I was supposed to get for a donation of $5 I made, or should I just consider it a lost cause because i'm a fool with my money?
Thanks.

I was told to post this on here by a member of the Art Theft community. Recently, it’s been brought to my attention that a certain FA/DA user traces/greatly copies Jeremy Bernal’s artwork. Normally I wouldn’t be taking it to this level, but instead of giving credit to the original artist like I kindly ask, they go on a rage, delete all of their FA gallery, and become instantly hostile—her sister and her. She tried to lie and say “they were sketches from long ago” even though the ones that line up exactly are from 2010+. Even going so far as to write slander about me that I steal artwork, when none of my gallery has stolen art.

WHO:
  Zillford, an artist located on Furaffinty and InkBunny as well. I am not certain if he is active anywhere else. http://www.furaffinity.net/user/zillford  / http://inkbunny.net/Zillford

WHERE:
  Located on FA at http://furaffinity.net/user/zillford , this is the primary site of business that I encounter him at.

WHAT:
  A commission for a Line Art, digital image piece. Priced at $60 to be paid ahead of time. Initially paid for in advance, the status of the art agreed upon for commission is unknown and I am currently awaiting a response from the artist, the current date that this was posted on at Artist Beware is February 28th, 2012, and the date that the commission was paid for was December 12th, 2011. What I would like to do is find a way to open up communication with Zillford and work things out to get this commission completed, and I put this all behind me, and possibly have the picture paid for to be coloured by him later. I don't wish to burn any bridges here.

Darzi has come forward to contact commissioners in order to attempt to make good on refunds. I Just got this on furaffinity:

Text, if the image doesn't work )

I have sent an e-mail and hope to hear back soon. Please, if Darzi owes you for a past commission, contact them. We can only hope to get our refunds.
