I had a chance to read the first one. I agree with what the writer said about not accepting a commission if you aren't feeling confident in your capabilities. I've always made a point never to accept a commission if I don't think I can deliver something I will be satisfied with. I've never really felt comfortable using someone else's dime as a learning experience. =P

I do need to work on how much control I give the commissioner though. Been trying to fine tune that for quite some time now. (I take very few commissions though, so I think that's why it's taking me so long to fine tune it, hehe...)

The second article was really good too. I liked the last part where the writer said that if you knowingly take on a difficult commissioner, be ready to accept at least half the blame when things go wrong. Very true. Anyway, good stuff--thanks for posting!
