Site full of ripped off artwork.

There are so many peices of ripped off artwork in this folio, that I didn't know what to do. Katie Hofgard (Shadowolf), Goldenwolf, Shigamnigirl(I think), etc.

I already contacted her saying that she had lots of copyright infridging artwork, and that she should remove it. and that I would also be contacting the artists in question, so that they could iron out the details.

If your work is on this site I encourage you to contact the girl!

it's entirely possible she's just using it for storage, unless you can show me she's linking to it elsewhere claiming it's hers?

I'm sorry, but I upload other people's artwork to my photobucket account from time to time... that doesn't mean I'm claiming it as mine.

I did look through it, but traces and references aren't as obvious as someone just plain uploading someone else's work, particularly if you are (like me) not familiar with ALL of the original artist's work.
I was actually hoping for some specific side-by-side comparisons (particularly of Katie Hofgard's because I -am- a fan of her works and still don't see a specific rip), though I don't doubt "BrittyHead" is ripping off Goldenwolf.

and that wouldn't just be for my sake, but anyone's; I thought it was standard procedure to show the original works when pointing out rips anyway. I don't mean to pick on you personally, it's just that visible proof is much more substantial than just saying "this person is ripping someone off".

I'd also like to maintain that if this girl is posting the artwork anywhere but in her photobucket account, it's possible that she gives proper credit in those places... I'm curious as to how this account was located in the first place? if that's her "official gallery page" then yes, she's doing badthings, but if she's giving proper credit elsewhere, then this isn't really necessary.

I agree. Also, even though they ARE ripped off copies, it's still entirely possible she's just storing them on her Photobucket account and not linking directly to them (although doubtful). It's not actually a crime to copy some one else's art..a lot of people do it as practice. Just as long as you don't publicly post it and/or claim it as your own. I don't really see a Photobucket account as public posting unless she's linking to it from elsewhere..

Than again, I think Photobucket has some kind of policy regarding this sort of thing. Although I can't remember exactly what it is.

I don't see the problem (from the info given so far). This is just a Photobucket account - where was it found? Unless she's using this as a proper gallery, how is anyone to know this isn't just a place for storage where she can show off her progress in an LJ or to friends? There's nothing wrong with copying for practice, lots of people do this. It's just referencing. Plus I don't think you can put credits or comments on Photobucket, so how are we to know that she's avoiding naming the artists in question?

Unless these were presented as her gallery or she's presenting them publicly as her own work, I don't see that there's anything to complain about - a bit of an overreaction, I think.

huh... thats a first... looks like she traced from one of my old pics.. but not sure.. cuse I reffed (and credited) goldenwolf for one of my images i no longer have up.

it was old an crappy so i don't care *shakes head*
