EDIT:Beware Miharu Okami
Jan. 29th, 2011 12:22 pmEDIT: On 2/12/11 my suit was finally delivered. Almost a month after it was shipped. They should have left it lost. The hand paws are two different sizes, one is huge and one i cant even get my hand into. The tail is falling apart with a curved tip to it?! And the head is just something else. The eyes are barely hanging on, are lop sided. The muzzle doesnt close and looks like its making an =0 face. And the fur was poorly shaved. I was told I could have told her about the face and she would have changed it...well i NEVER got a frontal pic, only side ones so it looked okay from the picture. JUST don't order from her. She takes forever, has a VERY rushed and unprofessional product.
So back on 8/24/10 I ordered my partial. She said she would have it done by FF. I got updates of the head and was in constant contact so I thought everything was good. A week before FF, it turns out she never finished, I was pissed but she said she would have it the next week. It is now 1/29/11 and I still don't have my suit. Two weeks ago I was told she was shipped out. Then when I told her I never got her, the truth came out...
She had left the suit with Keryu. Not done and just left it for her to finish. I found this out from keryu's boyfriend. She admitted to it being too much and not being able to do it. She said she never should have never taken my commission. Keryu finished my suit and sent it out....guess what, I still don't have it. Don't know if it got lost in the mail...or what.
Never use her...save your self the heartache.

Date: 2011-01-29 07:35 pm (UTC)So she should have refunded you what money she didn't spend, and ship the supplies she had bought to you so that you'd get another maker to do your project for you. Just 'giving up' and then handing it off to another maker without your prior notice (and to hear about it through a 3rd party? Ugh), much less an agreement is really bad on her.
But like Shukivengeance requested, a few links to these pages and the like would be helpful.

I commissioned Miharu earlier last year. And while I got the fursuit from her (after the deadline it was supposed to meet), the experience was less than pleasent and rather threw me off liking the suit she sent me all together.
She does not answer Note's after she has read them, despite being asked to reply right away and it can sometimes take several tries for her to finally answer. Her sewing machine apparently broke down part way through sewing my suit, so most of it was poorly handstitched (despite her claiming to be a master handstitcher)and instead of a zipper, a Velcro-strap was hot glued to the body.... so I cant even replace it myself without having to cut the glued fur off and ruin the back markings. Plenty of holes I can put my fingers through, and visible foam at some places.
Miharu took on too many fursuit commissions for being a beginner and cannot keep a deadline properly. I got one WIP picture of a foam head, then a picture of the complete suit just after she mailed it out, since she apparently could not get a hold of a camera to take a picture beforehand...

Date: 2011-01-30 05:42 am (UTC)Both sides to every story
Date: 2011-02-02 09:58 am (UTC)you of what I've done in my past.
Same excuses? Well the situation never changed.
Also when you got sick and couldn't pay for a while, that was probably high time you dropped the commission as well?
I'm not here to bash but all I'm saying is that there are 2 sides to every story and if you're gonna post stuff like this at least send your artist a link so they can tell their side people!
I offered a refund and you continued with your commission as well even AFTER the fact you found out about my dishonesty. And my intentions were not bad, I just really didn't want to let you down again because of you know.
So even though we're at tension right now I do sincerely apologize to you and Tonic if you read this. I messed up, i bit off more than I can chew and I am sorry.
I thank you for posting this beware because it has given me the gumption to try harder on other commissions and thank you both for hiring me, if it were not for your commissions I would not be out of high school and in college.
I'm sorry your package never came but at least you have the insurance I guess. and like I said when I get on my feet one day I will make it up to you both.
Sorry and thank you again.

Date: 2011-02-02 09:45 am (UTC)at the time but you refused it and continued with the commish anyway,
plus that was only my second suit ever built.
Not saying I wasn't wrong, but I'm not COMPLETELY at fault either.
As for the suit you never once requested I fix it after you got it.

I did say I was still new to the whole
process.

Date: 2011-02-02 11:10 am (UTC)I looked over my notes and you offered to refund me 200$ and send a partial. That would still be paying 250$ for a suit you yourself just said, was only your second suit, and of lower-quality. (Well not lower, just beginner)
You glued seams and the very day I got it, the fur was starting to come away on the nose and curl up. THE FIRST DAY. No matter where I look on the suit, corners have been cut. The seams are sloppily sewn, the markings have holes in them, the tail-tip is already coming apart, the foam on the legs were already popped open since there was just a small smear of glue keeping it together, and the seams did not even meet up on the feet and when the fur was pushed to the side, foam was visible. As well, you just glued some velt to the paws, without trimming the fur beneath or anything, so it looks rather poorly done. (Oh, and you left a few pins in the feet. Just like... two, but I understand how you can loose them in a mass of foam... still wakes you up when stepped on.
In no way did you offer me a refund, materials, AND what you had finished. (Not from what I can find in the notes, if you can direct me towards the note, I would be much obliged)

Date: 2011-02-02 06:06 pm (UTC)that was not what I had said. I will take that.
I never knew all this had happened to your suit
(well the peeling, pins, tail etc) and I do
apologize for that too.
Like I said when I get back on my feet I will
contact you and Danni in the future.

I was the one who fucked up and my friend
shouldn't go down for trying to help me.
It was my commission and your problem is
with me so get the facts straight.
I don't even know why you included her page
when this beware is about me.
Thanks.

Date: 2011-02-15 01:50 pm (UTC)all down, Danni, Tonic, and any possible future
commissioners.
In closing if anyone reads this, I've decided that I
will not be making suits anymore. I can not take the
pressure of deadlines and my life is too hectic
and unstable for this line of work.
Thank you Danni for posting me here and helping me to
realize it. Thank you to you, for helping me get through
college, and I'm sorry for not returning the favor.
I will however work every hard on these last three
commissions I have and that will be the end of my
dealings.
Thank you again for putting things into perspective for
me and for helping me see my err. I hope to redeem myself
in the future should you chose to forgive me and unblock
me. (I needed your paypal)
I am immature, unprofessional, and I sincerely apologize.
