Upon inspection I realize this artist used very little glue on this head and it is coming off the material. In this shot you can
also see the fabric better. Looks like a tshirt

but this is ok, I'm just gonna rip it off the material and make this a foam base instead. So in reality all I really paid for was a bunch of foam pieces cause the foam isn't even staying on the "balaclava" material like its supposed to.


Again, bad service, poor with deadlines, horrid friend attack friend, and now poor craftsmanship.

Don't do business here. You may get more trouble than you wish for.

UPDATE 2/21/11: I received the head in the mail. I think I would've been more happy with it if I had just gotten it on time. Trying to stay calm and be less critical I was just wondering if balaclava, is that stretchy face mask type thing that goes over your head, cause what ever this is, it's not as described. Its looks like the artist took 2 pieces of an old tshirt and sewed it together and put foam on it. It wasn't even a stretchy tshirt so its hard to put it on.

After asking various friends to try it on, the one person who could get their head inside the base said it lays against their nose preventing her from breathing. She had to breathe through her mouth.  The head is, not up to par. It could have been better. Its kinda poorly constructed in the sense that it has very little glue holding it together. The ears are coming off somewhat and one of the cheeks is halfway off already.

Its definitely not worth $70 but at this point, I've lost so much time it will have to do. Luckily I can fix it myself, but I would have been better off building it myself or paying $30 extra to get a base from Avsun.

I suggest you really consider before buying or doing business with this artist. She can't keep a deadline and will try to justify it to you basically telling you you should accept it, she's not all that honest at times, and she has a rather off-putting friend who you do not want  to cross paths with.

She's a good person, just not a good business person and may need to look into other line of work.

UPDATE 2/20/11: As promised I would like to commend Count Ramsley for getting the pictures I wanted to see.
I got a note from him on my FA showing me proof that Isabella did indeed send my head as of February 16th 2011
though it was one day before my due date I am happy that I shall (hopefully) be getting it.

I'd like to apologize to Isabella and Ramsley for my at times brash behavior. I'm mad, he's mad, everybody's mad and it just doesn't add up to anything good.  Its usually not like myself and I am happy with the way things seem to be turning out.

As promised I'd like to announce this issue as somewhat resolved and if I do not get my item it is a matter of the post office, not Isabella. If that were to happen we are in agreement that I shall get at least a partial refund.

I will also be dropping my claims against Ramsley and Isabella.

I will be updating on whether or not I got the head.

I've just about had it with this mess. I knew I was being bullshitted from the get go

On January 28th I won her auction on a foam base head, which in her auction it
states that she would send the product 2 days after receiving payment.
Its now 22 days later and still no head. I even paid the same day I won the auction.

I was dumb enough to send my $70 payment as a gift so now I cannot dispute it on

After dealing with her for this long I was told I'd receive my head by my birthday (the 17th)
and its still not here. I'm just about fed up at this point and I have asked this artist for refunds
multiple times in my paypal dispute against her and in my emails. I even asked her kindly
for pictures of the reciept/ reciept shipping lable so I can have proof that she sent it
cause this could very well be the Post office's fault.

Well her scanner is at her grandmothers house with no internet as well as her camera
and it will take a few days to get the pics. So I ask her Does she have a phone? Does it
ahve a came to take pics? She says sure and to text her.

I surely did. I sent texts that got no response. Then I finally sent a text asking if I even had the right number
and the response I get:

"Yes this is right. I am sleeping at the moment."


Um.....wtf?

So I text her back somewhat brash and still kind stating that this is $70 of my hard earned money
we're dealing with and March (FWA) is fast approaching. When will she give me pics.

The response I get:

"I will be up in the next hour or so"


........fed up. Done. Filing claim now.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON. EVER,

I understand life is tough..I understand not having a car....but..all she had to do was
call the PO schedule a pick up and they could have came to the door to get my package.

I hate doing this but I have no choice.

I didn't read through all of this yet.. I just wanted to give you a fast warning that Paypal will likely ban your account and WILL NOT help you get your money back. You are NEVER to send money as a gift unless it is one! Having sent it as a gift when it was a payment counts and fraud, as you are denying them their cut of the payment when you send the money as a gift and this is against the rules.

I hate it for ya. I really do. I was hoping people would read back on her crap tastic ways. She got me. Though after about a year, I got this POS foam head. For weeks and months, all sorts of excuses. I was just beside myself with how it went. When I saw her open up for a head commission, I was thinking to myself, Maybe things have changed, maybe she's not scamming people any more. Nope! she keeps coming back up on the radar at least once every year or so. Dang shame it keeps happening. An absolute shame.

I keep the head in the other room and use it for kicking around and stepping on.

I dunno, I figured it was a down hill thing when she scammed me on an art trade years ago. She wanted an icon for her website, which I made, and she was to draw for me in exchange but never did... If you will rip someone off for something as simple and easy to make as a drawing, then I'm not surprised you'd rip them off for bigger things.

Do they have your credit card or something on file and then just charge you for whatever the package weighs?

If you wanted to print off a label and ship it, then you'd have to have a scale at home to do so with. (I mean, unless it's a flat rate box.. but they don't make them big enough for suit heads.. ) I'm a bit confused as to how that process works, and I think if I could find some way of how it does actually work, that I would have an easier time of swallowing " Just tell the Post Office to come pick it up. "

(I'll read up on this, but I'd like some input from someone who has actually used the pick-up service before. )

The only part I'll address is the last part about texting her. If she WAS sleeping, you could have given her a little bit longer. It seemed a little brash to turn around and start a beware when she said she just needed a couple hours or so.

Of course, it should never have gotten to that point in the first place. I'm only saying that while it's not right of her to not give you any update at all, ignore your contacts, etc, being pushy while it's the middle of the night for her(assuming), is not the best move. Not that I blame you.

For everything else in the post, she doesn't seem to have much excuse for not getting that head out to you. I do hope this beware helps her get in gear and you get it soon C:

Sorry that it went this way! This surprised me. She's always been sweet and my transactions with her went perfectly. I'm probably biased a bit, as I think she's an awesome gal, but we DID do business.

Sounds like she might have too much on her plate when it comes to larger endeavours. though honestly I don't know the situation that well at all.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think paypal actually froze her account. That could be why those emails show up as unconfirmed. I think she has to use her friend's now.

If an artist asks, just pay the stupid $1 paypal fee for them. It's worth the protection.

Alright Chum, First off all i am Isabella's Personal long time best friend. I know her extremely well almost over 5 years now. She isn't trying to rip you off, she is just Slow with here work, and has been for as long as I've known her.

Now, More importantly, as you mentioned here at the end of your journal, she had told me today that you had Sent her a text asking if you had the right Phone Number, she was sleeping and when she Just wakes up like that, she's rather absent minded most of the time, and that's why she then told you that she would like to get back to you when she was fully awake and able to reply correctly. However, you then demanded that she send you photos of her Receipts from the post office, which she has told me, that she Also did today! So you Should have gotten those, and if you didn't, it wasn't because she didn't send them to you!

Secondly, i Strongly and VERY Intently suggest that you DO NOT dispute that Paypal account! If you look at my user name and look at "her" paypal, you'll notice they're the same! That's because that is MY paypal account, and i will be Very outraged if you try to close it! >=( I have agreed to help her out a long while ago, by using my account so that she can keep up her services to possible fur suit customers and anything else she may have need of it for, However, that is Still My account! She had lost her own personal account when she was attempting to apply for a Paypal Debut card, but since she doesn't have a regular job, fur suiting is how she makes any money, Paypal found that she has no Credit Score, and there for closed her account Permanently until she gains credit! She never had her account closed due to any issues with previous clients or disputes, simply because she has no credit. Also, she had informed my that she DID in fact send out your package as of 2/16/2011 with 3 day priority, and that you were supposed to have received it as of Today! If you haven't, this IS a postal problem, Not hers, that she hasn't sent it, because she Has!

Now, personally i don't appreciate you, and all these other stupid people in the past, who's been foolish enough to ever have posted here on these stupid Artist beware sites! Wow this is really hostile towards a person who just wants to get what they paid for.

This isn't an attack site. It's here to warn about commissioners and artists with poor business practices, which it seems your friend has. She's admitted to it in the past in previous posts about her.

And during my experiences with paypal I have never heard of them "closing accounts because of low credit scores". Don't you have to hook it up to a bank account? Yeah no. It got closed because of paypal disputes.

Also, for two weeks now, she's been Staying over at her Grandmother's house, where she has absolutely NO internet access, This is to explain just why she hasn't been replying to all your Harassing E-Mails to her! SHE DOESN'T HAVE INTERNET! So its not like she is spending these few weeks at her grandmother's house just for vacation, it was for the purpose of being able to get more work done since she would have to virtually deal with near no issues at all.

Now then, she Sent you photos on her phone as you rudely demanded, of the receipts! She Sent out your item as of 2/16/2011 with a 3 day Priority, which you were supposed to have gotten around Today! She's made it clear long ago that she is staying at her Grandmothers and has no internet and wont be able to reply to and E-mails of any kind what so ever! Knowing all this, WHY would you even be stupid enough to create a new "Artists Beware" journal on her! >=( I would, as well as her, would greatly appreciate you editing this journal, stating that the issue has been resolved, and i Personally am telling you NOT to start any disputes with MY paypal account, because if for some reason MY Account is shut down because of this, i will be Greatly angered with you!

Now then, if for some reason you did Not get those Text photos of the receipts, simply send her a Nicer text and ask for them again and she will gladly send them. And if for Some reason you did Not get you package in the mail Today, Simply wait another day or two at the most, because it Was sent out for a fact, and you were Supposed to get it today! And in the future, do a little more "research" on who you messing with, when creating these types of journals, because all you doing is picking on someone, who doesn't necessarily deserve it, and potentially causing problems for another person who doesn't even have anything to Do with this situation in question!

Look I understand having no car and net and other life problems.
Trust me, I've been there, but I at least went out of my way to let my commissioners know that. I would go to my best friend on the phone
and I'd ask her to send messages for me to my commissioners to let them
know what was up.

I hated posting this but I felt it needs to be done. Also to the count
Ramsley person if you didn't want anything to happen on your paypal
you should have told your friend to accept money transfers or money
orders. THEN she would not have the excuse of having to wait four days
for the money to transfer from paypal. At least the buyer will know she's
waiting on the money to get there ya know? And they can track it even.

Look, I've had time to calm down a bit and I don't have hard feelings so no one put Isabella down. I really do understand life is tough but thats not my issue.

My issue is being told that my item was sent and then it wasn't and now I am dissatisfied. I want my money back. I don't even want the head anymore because of this experience.

If I do indeed get the head Monday (I'm on a college campus so they close our PO on the weekend) then I'll settled this as resolved.

But I at least want the money I sent so I can even file the claim (I could not file the claim against the 70 dollars because it was sent as a gift so I sent more money so I can file a claim against that and include the 70)

I will hold up my end if she holds up her end.

When contacting an artist, do try to be patient.
I do my utmost to let anyone buying from me know if I'll be slow or late but not everyone knows they will or finds themselves in a tight spot.
What you described sounds like you sent her a LOT of messages about this - it's unprofessional and bad practice but when hounded it can easily make people less inclined to do something as they feel pressured.
I know personally I quickly lose motivation and confidence if hounded about something a lot.

It's true you shouldn't have been kept waiting though.
Once winning an auction the item should be sent as soon as is possible to the buyer and not cast off as something that can wait.
When making a business for yourself you should be prepared to make regular post office trips and send things out to people.

I think you're giving the artist too much leeway here.

The item was promised to be posted TWO DAYS after the auction ended. When you pay for something like that, you are not paying for just the piece, you are paying for the piece to be delivered really fast. This is not an image, it's a foam head base, to eventually become a fursuit head. If it is not delivered on time, the customer does not have time to finish it and take it to a convention or other event, so the deadlines are pretty vital.

I have delt with her before he sis a suit for me and always avoided e-maile me back until I got her phone number and called her directly even then she was giving me sob stories yet she always found ways to make suits to sell on ebay but when I finally got it the head was way to small and the body was way to big I didn't mind the body but when I complained about the head she told me I sol and she wasn't going to fix it I was stuck with something I could wear and had to shell out another 300 dollars for a new head

Isabell seems like she should seek over avenues of gainful employment if she can't even come through on simply mailing an already completed item. Not to mention she has around 8 or so people through this community who have voice discontent with her business practice. Talent or enjoyment of the craft it not a reason to make it your business. The ability to keep your commitments and follow through is more important, and that is just something this artist seems to lack...

I love how you made me sound like I'm this horrible evil tyrant that takes everyone's money and doesn't give them anything in return. I have far more happy customers than unhappy customers. Everyone can vouch for me that I ALWAYS DELIVER PRODUCTS, even if it takes longer than expected. Telling someone you shipped something when you didn't is a lie. A "white lie" perhaps but still a lie. You can justify it and say that you fully intended to have had it shipped that day but it's still a lie, and then when things don't work out as fast as you expected (which seems to be a chronic issue so maybe you should know better by now) it becomes obvious. Whoa whoa, lets all calm down everybody. First off to the Count,
resolving this journal is actually out of my power. I did not know that the mods had control over this. I was going to request as putting it as resolved but then you sent me that last message and I wasn't so sure.

But I did in one of my notes say I will not resolve this issue until
I get the item in my hands. I did however resolve the dispute.

@Isabella: ..you did lie,there were 3 situations where you did tell me you sent it and it never showed up.
