artists_bewareSpring is almost here unless you are in the Southern Hemisphere then you are welcoming Fall.
Either way we are at the seasonal change on the planet.
And what a good time to find people who have done a little more than usual to make our lives more pleasant. This is for both artists that you love and have been good to you as well as commissioners that when we see that e-mail that they want us to create something for them, we know we are in for a good time.
We ask that you give us a few lines of what made this such a great experience for you and why this person is so wonderful in your book. You can recommend say a fursuiting group or an artist enclave as well.
There are plenty of reasons to post someone here: perhaps they went above and beyond the call of duty to fix a problem, or were so prompt with communication and payment it was like having them right next to you, or were very professional and courteous every time you contacted them.

4. Details: This is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He's friendly, he goes out of his way to be prompt with refs and descriptions, he's willing to work within an artist's style and doesn't nitpick where many would, he doesn't ask for anything you'd be uncomfortable with, and he's one of the few commissioners who's gone from customer to great friend over the years. If he comes around asking you for art, definitely consider working with him. :)

4. Details: This guy has taught me a lot about how to be a good commissionable artist over the years. He's very professional when it comes to getting art, providing great refs and letting me know from the start which details are most important to him. If there ever is a problem, he's generally very polite about it and has no problem working with me to fix it.

4. She is not always available but is definitely a fine artist with a great attitude. She does not take more than she can handle and has always been able to produce wonderful art in a timely manner. I've never been disappointed.

4. Fantastic, patient commissioner. Gave me a great deal of artistic freedom and was extremely cordial, polite and professional to deal with. I would highly recommend you take a commission from Rowan if she is interested in your work, because it was overall an extremely positive situation and I am looking forward to working with her again in the summer when I have time. Even though I was a little delayed due to class, it was all OK. Proof that good communication works.
She ordered two cuties and two icons. :) :)

3. Time Frame: I commissioned her back in October 2009, more or less, and received the plushies I've commissioned on February 15, 2011. However, the reason for the huge gap is explained below :)
4. Details: The plushies I've received (Klonoa, Guntz, Chipple, and Pyramid Head) were all made beautifully and personality. The seams were neat, the details were accurate, and they were the perfect size. I love them to bits! When commissioning her, I got a late with a few payments due to my job giving me less hours (this is the reason for the gap) but she was extremely patient and pushed my plushies to the end of her list to give me enough time to finish paying. She did not need to do this, but I cannot thank her enough for being patient and understanding about the payment troubles. Definitely recommended!

4. She was so prompt and polite! I asked for changes to the original sketch, she did them quickly without any questions, and the finished product is literally one of my favorite commissions I've ever received. It's gorgeous and even better in person. The way it was shipped made it practically indestructible, very above and beyond on the packaging of the original. I also got a badge from her (its not uploaded to her page yet) and it was stunningly beautiful, and came ready-to-wear with clip and everything. She is so professional!

Commissioned in early March.
The work is professional and frankly amazing in its depth and color and how it's all put together. I haven't seen anything quite as breath-taking as her eye-cons, for the price and with the level of professionalism that she puts into her work. She's wonderful to work with and has a great manner as well. The commission was quick and painless and I'm still amazed at how gorgeous it turned out!

I assume it's okay to mention this-- I purchased two of her adoptables (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5478739/) and received the larger file for both within about 12-24 hours of payment (bought at separate times). She is really friendly and her quality of work is very professional. I have also had an art trade with her in the past (which I admittedly need to finish my half for, good lord I am slow) and I was more than impressed with the quality she brought me (see my current icon for this comment-- thats her work!). n.n I would totally recommend her-- she does a lot of concept work for characters, ref sheets, and icons. <3

4. Just such a painless experience with someone who is friendly and approachable, with excellent prices and some very underrated talents. The art is done in a rather beautiful style using rich colors very reminiscent of traditional as opposed to digital, and she puts a lot of heart into the pieces as well. She has also done several pieces of gift-art for me out of the blue as well for which I was absolutely delighted :-)

4. Ives is an absolute honey. Friendly, funny, complicated. Always professional in his dealings and I would challenge you to find someone who puts more heart into their work. His depictions of characters are just so... human, even when the subject isn't necessarily such. He has illustrated many scenes from my novels and done just such a wonderful job of it, really bringing the characters to life. I just cannot recommend him highly enough, it is enough to make me go 'splodies.

4. Lithdragon is a wonderful artist who doesn’t get nearly enough attention! She mods at one of the Pern forums I frequent and is sort of the official site artist. I approached her before a recent major site event to do avatars of two of my dragons and it eventually ended up becoming three dragons instead. She is very affordable and even animated the avatars at no extra cost! Her turn-around time was very quick, a day or two at most for each of the pictures and her work is absolutely adorable!

It's semi-uncanon, meaning theres two other colors of dragons other than the original five and there is the occasional girl on a blue dragon. It's got a small but very active member-base and we just wrapped up our 11th hatching so things are buzzing right now!

4. I had a commision go wrong and Midori was willing to do a refurb on the head I commished from anouther maker. She agreed to $150 for the refurb but after takeing it apart she realized it was alot more work than expected. Atleast $300 worth of work but she wouldn't take a cent more. She was pleasent to work with,communication was great and she produced a super product for me. She gained a forever customer and a friend.
