Went into her latest livestream and confronted her, nicely, about a refund or her posting the piece. She cleared the text I'd written and said how rude it was of people to 'disrupt' her stream. ffft. Still no WIP or refund. WTF does on have to do to force her hand?

Other than posting to her online profiles, there are only a couple of other methods which I could recommend. 1) Call her and/or two 2) Contact her through her friends in a nice way.

Why hasn't anything been done about her yet? Fa isn't going to ban her because she's a popufur artist. I'm starting to think the only way you and others are gonna get your are is by banning together and doing small claims court. However I have a feeling that would be like trying to wrangle cats :X

I've been talking to witchiebunny about this and she needs to go through dragoneer, who I guess has been unresponsive about it. I think she's angry at me so I've been making an effort not to bother her, but last I'd talked to her, she told me she was going to talk to dragoneer because she was tired of Star's crap.

In her new submissions and recent journals, she keeps talking about working on her backlog as well as taking on all these new commissions, but I sure haven't seen it happening. :/ I'm sorry this has happened to you.

I wondered about this when I saw her most recent journal on FA offering more commissions, and yet still people are biting.

I also loled at her saying how FA was "dead"....I think most people have gotten the idea shes a scammer.

I was fortunate enough to escape Starfinder's ring of bullshit. Several years back when I was a huge fan of her work *and unaware* I commissioned several illustrations.

Right as I was about to send payment I got several PM's informing me of Star's history.

Suffice to say
Star didn't get my money, and I wouldn't have gotten art either way :D

That's really awesome the community came together to intervene on your behalf before you lost all that money. I guess we can only hope this pattern continues so more people are spared, or at least that more people find out about her history before throwing more money at her. But then I guess she'll always entice new naive people into commissioning her regardless of how easy it is to do just a slight bit of market research on her.

I think at this point you really have three options:

1. Tell people as you're doing now so people will know not to commission her. That's about the only way to stop the cycle. Once people abandon her for commissions, she can't hurt anyone else.

Now the next two you have and either/or situation.

2. Consult a legal expert and see if you have a small claims court case. This would be the "force" option if you even have a legal case against her. Only a legal expert will know.

OR

3. Write it off as the loss that it is. I mean everyone knows she's not going to do the art or refund you either way.

I agree with the people who've said to contact some other shafted parties, gather your evidence, and take her to court. Even if one person is in the same state as her, I'm sure that they can present all the evidence you've got and hopefully get all the money back that she owes.

I need a "This." icon. It was also very hard for me to not stoop to insults, as that's about all he deserves. I kinda think its up to everyone that's been burned by Starfinder to get together and take her to court, since nothing else will be done to her.

I was in her stream for a little while, actually, to observe. I didn't screen cap anything, but someone (I'm not sure if it was the OP) came in and asked her (nicely) if she would upload their art. I'm not sure if the person was banned or if they left immediately afterwards, but they disappeared.

After that, she cleared the user's messages, and then proceeded to completely flush the stream's chat text, then stated that she wanted a "fresh" stream while she worked on something else.

I wish I had screen capped it, I had a feeling I should have. -_-;

I'm just curious how she expects to find the time to do all these commissions. She posted saying she has classes 6 days a week (anyone know what exactly she's supposed to be studying?). I assume all the classes have homework, reading material and study time. Plus she claims she volunteers 10 hours a week at an animal shelter. Add in time for sleeping and eating, and I don't see much time left to do commissions, unless she's using something that allows you to go 3 or 4 days without sleep.

Judging from what I've seen mentioned here and other places, it would probably be banned because it was created to "harass" artists.

I'm really glad that the one time I took a chance and got a little something from her that she delivered, and she even did it in a very timely manner. Though it was just one of those realistic busts she was doing a couple years ago.

It seems the only commissions you can sort of count on from her on small things that she can do within an hour or less.

Guys, if you want to hit her where it hurts, maybe try posting up a thread about this here: www.wetcanvas.com people love her on that site and that's where a lot of her "real life" work is shown. Also try contacting the wildlife places she's a member of IRL and explaining the situation www.wild-visions.com is her website and has info on there about what she's a member of.

Let's face it, she'll probably never get banned, and there's enough people on FA to keep commissioning her (even if we are creating a bit of a dent). I think the furry art is just a sideproject though. I think you need to let the wider public know about her, and wet canvas would be a great place to start.

Posting on FA in an attempt to catch her out doesn't work because she just blocks you. Note other members and warn them, that's all we can really do from the sounds of it. Aside from that, I think a lawsuit is a great idea.

PS. Maybe get a few people together (I'd volunteer) to send out notes/emails and post on forums about it. She HAS to be stopped somehow.

Actually, she claims someone did try and contact the galleries that were associated with her real name. Not her Starfinder persona. It was advised against in this community, and her name has been taking off of the tags, irrc.

then hopefully number of commissioners on FA will drop, star might get the picture not to con people out of money.
