Another Edit: She's now paid me for how much my half was worth, so this is now resolved.

This first started before I started to keep track of things. I willbe  trying hard to find proof, but it's possible I may forget somethings and be unable to find them. I apologize in advance!

WHEN: They first contacted me for a trade on June 19th, 2010. It took a little while before I started on the trade, do to commissions and other things. PROOF:  So, I got some screenshots together.  I think this should be everything important, but I could have missed things. I put spaces between notes to show the gaps of new notes, not replies. I think almost everytime I asked for a preview, she missed her deadline of when she'd send it and I would need to poke her t'ill she did.

EXPLAIN: I'll try to relay this as best I can. If she sees this and corrects me, I'll apologize for anything I may have gotten wrong. Anyways, I finished my half and waited for her to finish hers. After a while I did note her for an update and they said they had a sketch started and would send it to me tomorrow when they were home. It took a week to get that sketch, by me poking for it. Looked good and I left her alone for a bit.

At one point, she did break her pen tablet and couldn't work on anything digital. She did ignore notes as well. I will always find that no one has an excuse for not replying to notes when they have time to upload fursuit photos. I ended up noting her and starting to get annoyed. If she wanted to go with traditional, I'd be happy with that. She told me the inks were finished, so it was always possible for her to print it out and color it.

After a while, I noted her some more and it seemed things were finally going to be done, new pictures done all traditional. "

Then, once I get a new tablet, I'll finish the piece I started.

This was sent on March 29th, 2011. We did become a little bit more buddy buddy, as she is a nice person and I enjoyed talking to her on IM, but not it's started to get more ridiculous as time goes by.

She's been gone to several cons it seems, from reading her journals, so she does have time and most likely cash if she wanted to pay for it instead. I never did directly ask for any refund, as it would be preferred to have art, but she did ask people to email her with how much the picture would be worth money wise.

She also recently has been doing sketch commissions, all done the day it's ordered, to save up for the tablet pen. While a good idea, I am put off that these are being worked on before others.

Pretty much :< I've done some great trades and made friends from it, but it's just like, a few months ago I got some pretty bad ones. One person pretty much disappeared, which I'm iffy about, but I'm more worried something may have happened.

Question! Since it was just a trade you didn't pay anything right? In your second last paragraph you talk about a refund, are you asking for her to pay you for the image you did or did you give her money? Sorry just confused on that part

Sorry bout that, to clarify, she posted a journal asking people to send her an email to let her know how much the picture would cost if it were a commission instead. So, instead of drawing, paying for it instead.

But yes, it was an art trade.

The Firefox thing: I'm not sure of the name of the program I use because I'm on my elderly laptop, but... I find if I try and change the name of the file when I save it, the add-on strips the file extension off. I have to manually add the .png/.jpg back on myself in file manager. That could be why you're getting "unknown file" errors.

When I save them, it's labelled png though and I never had this problem before, it's odd.

*nod* Mine SAYS it's saving as a .png, but when it ends up on my documents, the extension has mysteriously vanished. Its... ODD. XD Glad you got it sorted though,

If you can open the images by selecting a program, do that and then choose the save as function and pick a file type. They may be missing their type extensions. :)

Thank you for replying. A refund would be great, but there's no need for you to the pictures anyways, I really don't expect more then first agreed on.

To be honest, I'd prefer art over money as well, but I just didin't want to wait around anymore.

It's not that I'm impatient, I've waited more then a year before, well, more then once really. The reason why I got fed up was the communication. Reading and ignoring notes, needing to poke her after weeks for things she said she'd get the next day and so on.

She's a nice person. It's too bad she ended up in this situation.

Funny you should mention this because this isn't the first time. I was hanging out with a frien this weekend and she gave a friend an original drawing she did for him and it was on the same paper as the trade she had did with k2 and he asked if she wanted to keep that piece and she was like "She never really finished her half, so I'm not worried"

I know I'm not the first, but I'm not sure if she's gotten her list done yet or anything. She's not quite ready for such things, not everyone is able to do work for art or money, so I guess we'll just see how things go.
