So I had a friend who said she liked to read up on any tutorials helping artists sell their art online, through auctions, commissions, etc.  Unfortunately, she didn't have any links on hand.  I definitely consider myself an amatuer bussinessperson, so I am really interested in these types of tutorials.  I would love to make myself more professional when it comes to the business side of art.  I am doing some internet searches, but what I am looking for from you are any links you happen to have tucked away that may help me out.  Some of the best things never show up in a Yahoo search!  It's much appreciated by me, and I'm sure will be by others as well!  Please do share!  Thanks!!

Celesse has a wonderful tutorial on her site, bottledtalent.com, for freelancing that i have used for years. I found it quite helpful.

First off post here asking how much your art is worth. I did that people will tell you how much is fair to charge honestly.

After that be SOCIAL give options for a few free pictures (not first come first serve, but people who aren't free art whores but really LIKE your style).

Put yourself out there. Be active in the community.

Good luck.

This.

I notice a huge difference when I used to post "free art" and get a load of comments and now when I post a "you might not get one cause I am very busy and so I am picky about my free art clients" disclaimer I get very few and the ones I do choose are actually grateful instead of feeling entitled over some minor thing or two. :)

All I can say is, don't sell yourself short. Your time is money, and while everyone starts from the bottom rung when it comes to freelancing, it's important that you get as much out of it as your client does. Some of these links apply to graphic design freelancing, but it can be applied to artist freelancing as well. Good luck!
