EDIT: this has been resolved with the artist. She got back to me immediately and was quick to post the completed images. I'm quite happy with the result, and I will seek business from her again in the future!

WHAT: This was a small commission, but I'm not the only person who has been left without any contact. I paid $12 for two "peanut" images of my character and my boyfriend's 6 months ago.

I left the artist to her work for 3 months before sending her a note asking if there'd been any progress. I didn't want her to feel like I was pressuring her. However, this note still shows up as "unread" on my FA notes outbox, and I have received no response.

A month ago, she posted a journal on FA about some plushes she was auctioning, so I sent her another note regarding the commission, again asking if she had made any progress toward it. This still shows up as "unread" on my FA notes outbox and I have not received any reply.

I don't appear to be the only one who's completely lost contact with her, as shown in this journal.

At this point, I'm counting this as a loss. I know it was only a $12 commission, but there were at least a few people who also lost their money on this one.

Heya! Atarins a very good friend of mine offline. I know she has been super busy as of late, but I will give her a quick call now to let her know what’s going on :)

Don’t worry; I am sure you will get your works very soon. I am unsure how things are for her in this area at the current moment, but I’ve never known her to be anything but reliable in the past (that and I am positive she was working on all those commissions a while back while I was with her)!

Hi, I'm sorry you had so much trouble trying to get a hold of me, it really wasn't my intention to come across as ignorant in any way. I admit that I do occasionally get really caught up in RL stuff and I can sometimes be a bit tardy with my messages because of it. I didn't realise I'd left it for so long, and I'm starting to really regret it; I'm at a point now where I'm having trouble dealing with all my messages and I've overlooked a few really important ones ;; So I do really apologise, I didn't mean for it to seem like I was ignoring you or anything. I really lost track of time.

Regarding Flix's stuff, she actually has hers; I was waiting on lineart for a collab commission for her which I had to colour. I just don't know how to delete comments on FA which is why hers are still up there.

The peanuts are all done, but I was intending on uploading them all at once like the way I did the first batch. Between school and other RL stuff I'm afraid I didn't realise how much time had passed. I've got to leave for the dentist right now, but I'll upload the full set to my FA when I'm back.

Again, I am really sorry for any frustration caused.

maybe try and work on a new tracking system for your commissions so you don't get lost or overwhelmed easily.

Definitely good advice; I'm going to try using the system I have for keeping track of my uni assignments to keep track of commissions and see if that works better than what I've been using.

If you haven't already I might recommend individually emailing/noting people in that batch in case they aren't watching your FA closely now (maybe that's your normal policy anyway but some artists don't and it's something to think about since it's apparently been pending a while)

Thank you both for the replies. Please don't think I'm taking this personally, or upset about the matter (as I said, $12 isn't something to get worked up about). I just couldn't get a hold of you is all, and I figured it was a lost commission.
