Troubling Development

Does anyone out there have contact information for an artist named HMO or Rotekatze? They took down all their artwork online, and I have no way to get hold of them.

I have an prepaid commission with them that has been outstanding for about a year now.

I'm a flakey artist myself, but... I've also been waiting on HMO for about a year and a half. Had the promise of a refund, but when I e-mailed and requested it, never got a response.

I paid $75. =/

I know that there is at least one commissioner who waited over a year to get a digital badge from HMO. I myself paid $20 this summer for a similar badge (prior to hearing about this stuff) and I have yet to recieve it. Granted, she responded right away to an e-mail I'd sent a while ago in which she told me she lost the character description. She was very polite. I have yet to speak with her again. Now that HMO seems to be back online, I am going to try to get my badge. I'd rather have that than a refund.

As an artist with a couple deadline-related faux pas myself, I want to give people the benefit of the doubt. However I would keep this stuff in mind if any of you want to commission her. HMO does awesome work but from what I've heard (and experienced), you might wait a terribly long time to get it, or you might not. There are plenty of people out there who are happy with her performance on commissions. Unfortunately it only takes a few commissions gone awry to ruin one's rep :/

Anyway, good luck, Cashewlou, getting in contact with her. I've heard she's interesting to try and get in contact with. I know HMO's always busy, from what she says, and does take a while to get commisions out to her customers. RL unfortunately tends to get in the way a lot, I would guess.

Well, to be fair, in all my dealings with HMO she(? I thought HMO was a guy) was always polite and fair with me...and then just vanished.

HMO was receiving a lot of flack from people, so she disappeared. She is now under a new name. I can send your contact info to her if you want. (I won't give out her info).
