WHERE: Her Livestream that she was hosting. 
WHAT: A while back Falvie had a journal up for dragon commission slots. I was unable to get the money in time so she said she will be doing more of them. So after waiting for a long time for her to open some more, I decided I'd post a shout asking her if she was going to do them soon. She said that she could take my commission. So after waiting 2-3 months I asked her if she had done my commission yet. She said she'd get to it tomorrow. She kept saying stuff like that...tomorrow. So, I noticed she was streaming, so I watched her stream for a couple of days, hoping that she'd do mine. I noticed that she kept doing other people's commissions. I got kind of impatient, here it is 3 months and she had only gotten a sketch done. 
Here's the log of the situation:

WHEN: I first started communicating about this commission roughly in December. She replied in the journal, that is now deleted in December; same day. The livestream was around midnight on the 2nd of March, 2012.

EXPLAIN: I believe that politeness is the way to go. If you start arguing, besides the fact that it's immature, you won't get anywhere. So, I typed to her in a mature way, but she just responded with a very immature, non-professional way.

This is what I'm wondering. I've been in Falvie's streams and she usually takes payment during the stream and then does the art right away. I would have asked her if I could be next in the stream, not when she'd finish the art I hadn't paid for.

Also, she doesn't like to be sent notes at all, which it says in great big colored letters in her profile, so I'm not exactly surprised she didn't read some notes. She gets a lot of them, despite her profile asking people not to send them.

That said, I'm not defending Falvie's attitude, which I find disappointing and rather out of character honestly...I've never seen her act like that to anyone, including people who did deserve it. Sad. :(

Eh, AB can be a powerful resource, but this post isn't going to somehow destroy Falvie's business. That's not even what we would want, really. We would much prefer if Falvie realized how she was behaving and took it upon herself to better herself and appreciate her customers. Apparently she's pretty young, though, which explains a lot. A lot of teenagers go through the 'Fuck you I'm the best!11 I dun care!' phase.

She WILL lose at least some customers (me included, I wanted to see about getting an icon from her a while back), but it's repeat problems like there were with Starfinder that will end up ruining someone, not a single post like this, even if it's pretty bad.

I think both sides have issues here. To the OP, if you didn't even pay for it yet, I would have just moved on since it was clear she didn't want to do it anyway. No use trying to force her since that creates bad feelings all around. But if you did pay that's an entirely different story.

To the artist, yeah, no. You do not ever talk to customers that way, potential or otherwise. I wouldn't even talk to annoying requesters that way. That was completely unprofessional and it's clear you know nothing of business ethics.

Part of the problem wit this attitude is what if the artist suddenly finishes the piece, months later, and surprises the OP with it when they were convinced the commission was dropped? What if they don't have the money then?

It's important to know if something is going to happen or not so you can be prepared for it. If the OP is told outright it won't get done, at least then they know they can spend that money on something else.

Wow I actually considered commissioning her since I thought my fursona would look cute in her style? I find her to be extremely intimidating, I have for a while...and this just tears it for me. Her attitude seems horrible and its really disappointing. I have definitely changed my mind about commissioning her. Beware well noted.

I am INCREDIBLY surprised by her behavior. From that IM post that doesn't seem like her at all. Least I would hope not.
I wonder if something is up. But even still that is never an excuse to say such things to a willing and paying customer.
I am really disappointed...

I am wondering this too. I've worked with Falvie before on commissions and am waiting on another at the moment, she has never had any attitude problems or un-professional communication. Its very unlike her in my opinion, but like you said, it doesn't excuse it. But I do wonder.

She seems to have an issue with entitlement. But she's always rubbed me the wrong way, especially how she's constantly advocating drug use (http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2295648/ ).

At one point she begged for a stranger to house her, and then posted this journal about two months ago about how she shouldn't have to pay rent (http://i40.tinypic.com/28txkpc.png).

But even knowing that about her, her attitude here is shocking and very unprofessional. I would NEVER talk to my clients in such a way. And considering they told her they would cancel and didn't want the sketch? Hell she could have sold the sketch as a prepose instead of accusing the commissioner of wanting free art.

Oh I was just reminded, she also blocked me at one point when her seizure icons were removed. I was trying to explain to her how quickly shifting and flashing lights can cause epileptic seizures. Several people also told her that they developed headaches from the icons while not having prior history of seizures and she essentially told people "too bad, they shouldn't be in the internet then!"

As far as furry art goes, Falvie's one of the most reliable artists to commission. She gets her work done quickly and the end results are always quality. You don't see that in too many artists in the fur community.

Everyone has an off day. That doesn't mean she's a bad dealer of art or deserving to be on this community. You're over reacting in my opinion.

Sadly NONE of this is even remotely surprising to me. Anyone who's watched her on DA/FA should be familiar with her attitude.

If anything I'm incredibly surprised she hasn't been posted sooner. I literately stopped watching her streams because of how she would treat people, commissioners included.

I'm really sorry you had to deal with her horrible personality first hand. It's always a real pity when such talented artists end up carrying themselves this way.

I'm actually kind of happy to see posts about her popping up here... at least I get comfort in the fact that she wasn't only mean to me. I had gone to one of her "commission streams" and I inquired about maybe getting a slot, which ignored, I waited 10 minutes or so then asked again, she ignored, and then when I commented how it seemed she was ignoring my inquiry she blew up at me. Capslock and f-bombs included. :/

Moments later, one of her friends comes in and inquires about getting a commission, and she immediately replies in a much friendlier tone. I wish I had saved the chat log, but I was so aghast I just left, and unwatched her. Her art is nice but her bad attitude that she parades everywhere leaves such a bad taste in my mouth.

Man, what a nasty attitude. I do not get people who take that attitude with clients... if I did that at the office I'd be out of a job.

That said, 2-3 months isn't that long of a wait. I have a few people waiting since late December for their art, because I had two major offline projects to work on and I'm sometimes working part-time at an office. If you've gotten a sketch and are getting updates, that's not so bad. I feel really sorry for people who commissioned me but I do post updates and I absolutely AM NOT posting personal art. Everything I post is for work/promotional stuff/etc etc. I also tend to update my watchers and let them know where I am on commissions. Don't know if she did that or not, but in general three months isn't a long wait (especially if you commissioned her when a bunch of other people did). If I'm not busy, I can take three days to a week on a commission, but if I'm really busy I may only get one commission a month done.

But she was awful rude, so I agree with you posting here.
