That guy and his odd RP talk. Answered my reply with my commission details, dropping all the RP kicks once I started talking to him. So at least I know he can handle things maturely, even with my fears of silly RP conversastions.

But...oddly he says I'm 'added to his list of artists' but isn't directly commissioning me yet...(Darn, I was hoping for a little extra for markers right now. :P)

So, heads up to anyone else is 'approaches', he's not actually looking for work right away.

Updates if anything else worth warning folks comes of it.

Well, that's lame. First he's a royal goofball with the RP nonsense, and now he's not even going to do anything. I'd tell him to stop dangling his line in the water if he's not using live bait.

I dunno if it's lame, it sounds typical with how some commissioning works. All the authors that contact me (and agree with my prices, etc) are usually doing the work, find a few artists, then offer the list up to who ever is doing the publishing, and then that publisher picks the artist they want.

that's pretty typical though. any commission offers I get for book covers usually is then added with "Great! we'll keep you in mind then as we look everyone over".. etc.
