http://stitched-up-smile666.deviantart.com just recently added me to her watch list on DA, and when that happens I always go over to the person's site and check their artwork out. WELL. this person, right on the front page of her gallery,

I took a look around the rest of her gallery, and I'm very suspicious of everything in there that isn't a picture of herself. Her style jumps around way too much for all of the art in there to be hers.
not to mention, the before mentioned werewolf drawing I showed you DEFINITELY does not meet the standards she has set for herself with the rest of her gallery, which makes me think that she didn't do any of it.

I reccomend for all you artists reading this take a look around her gallery and see if there's something of yours in there. I recognise a lot of it, but just can't put my finger on any of the artists.

strange. that single drawing was my sole purpose of posting this, she just seems... not right with me. the head of jaime's werewolf she drew is definitely WAY below the skill level of the rest of her gallery. I wish I saved it...
should I delete this post, you think?

Yeah. I also agree the style jumps around. Her earlier works are very Huskie-esque, but the newer ones don't seem to resemble her older ones at all. Whether or not this is normal style development, I don't know.

Glad to know I'm not the only one that saw it, then. Even if the image isn't copied, I think Exo has a right to be concerned over character theft. They're pretty much identical.

No offense, but exodite really is a 'generic dragon'. *Laughs* As far as chival, I'd say its' much more anthropormorphic looking than the human-esque thingie up there. I wouldn't call her on it. *Shrugs* If she wants to ripoff other artists, then let her. If she wants to be inspired by them(Eg, draw their characters in poses different than what they've already been drawn in), then she's not doing anything wrong unless the characters are copyrighted. Since the supposed sidor(best artist ever) image was taken down; then I don't think she's in violation of anything.

None taken. :) It wasn't my intention to "call" anyone on this coincidence, just to point out that they do look similar whether the artist wanted that or not.

Lol. No worries. Yea, something like that abomination(*points at your pic*) is unique as far as dragons go. Anything ripped from a D+D book with common features(Frill ridge, horns and not much else) can't be unique.
Thats why I frekain' hate drawing them. People are like "Wow, is that a brass?" STFU nubz.

Btw: Abomination is a good thing in my brain :D Go years of mental scarring from HP lovecraft! Did you draw it? Its' rockin'.

my style's hardly consistent, and the only thing I can say that if they want to rip off a drawing, they need to give credit to where they ripped it from.

actually your style is VERY consistent. The linework is relatively the same, the level of detail, the proportions, perspectives, camera distance, subject material, coloring style, etc... they all seem to corelate pretty consistantly in your newer works. A steady progression is evident from the first dozen things you posted, but the following 40+ others which is where Im guessing your now at, are the same in many ways.

lol, and you'd be the first to say that, cause often times I'm accused of copying other people's styles because they aren't the same... I was kinda offended that I was accused of copying Glen (no offense, I think he's just overrated for fanporn and not really that good at drawing )O.o

Just a reminder that not all artists have the exact same style for every piece, and some artists will even do something that is a billion times better than most people see them do.

Now, this gal may have very well done a little art theft, but it does drive me nuts when people say 'So many styles!'

it's not so much the styles that bugged me enough to make this post. it's the fact that the drawing, which she said she did, that she copied directly from the head of the Sidor picture, that was a recent deviation, that was just so so so different completely. it was worse quality, it was worse anatomy, it just flared red lights at me and just because she has more than one style does not mean that she didn't copy other artists. it clearly showed less skill than her other drawings. not less time spent on it, but literally less skill. it bugged me enough to post this. if you really have a problem with this post then I'll delete it. I just wish to god I'd saved the picture so you'd all see what the hell I was talking about ^_^;

I've seen people post links to galleries without proof before with 'This artist doesn't have a set style OMG theft!' :)
