WHAT: Ok, so I payed $100 for two 15 piece sets for my chat site, Immer Treu. We had agreed on Eastern Dragons, and Prezwalski's Horse.

Edit:
Asked her about the set, since she has been active selling her premade sets from her chat that she is no lonher working on.
It has been read, but not responded to. (Note: She might be reading it now and responding- I'm not saying she isn't going to respond at all).

WHEN: At first all seemed good (I actually got a set from her for Sumatran Rabbits a while back, and they got done in good time), but then things started happening. She had issues in real life which of course I fully understood. I PMed or noted her for updates, which she sent. Eventually months went by, and the replies seemed less and less. I told her the first time around I was going to post here to A_B if the first set wasn't done. She got it done (after apologizing) and I was happy. She said she'd start the horses in a few days. Well, days went by and I began to contact her, in which she read my PMs but never replied. Recent ones she had ignored, and said she was too busy working on her own chat site first. Again, I tried to sound as nice as I could, and told her if I didn't see the set/50$ refund soon,  (which was over weeks ago when I sent that), then I would be posting here. She ignored it, and I sent another warning. Again, ignored.

I apologize if these are scattered, since they took place on different sites. I will post my proof that I sent the money first, and go from there.

I have tried to be patient with her, because I really didn't want it coming to this. I didn't want to post her here, nor did I want to send those last two PMs. I have asked for her to either continue the set, or refund me. She has ignored me, and so I posted her here

I really hope she gets in touch with you and finishes the contracted work. I realize losing her commissions is a bummer and having to restart them would suck...but she should know better then to leave her commission details in FA or DA. Keeping them in email would have been smart.

Also, backing up her files would have been a good idea. Theres no excuse for losing files when there's a boatload of free hosting services online she could copy over to.

Not to mention it's nearly impossible to fry a hard drive to the point where you can't recover files from it. Even if it's no longer bootable you can still connect it as a secondary HD most of the time.

That doesn't mean it'll spin up. When that happens, you have to hunt down a second HDD with the same serial number and swap the parts in, assuming the data itself is still viable.

That's also assuming that she has the ability to install a secondary HDD or knows about disc enclosures.

If she doesn't, then she'd need to take it to a computer store, and recovering data is usually pretty pricey. :P

Kayla's about to come and freeze us for being off topic, buut... most HDD these days are SATA and you can plug them into dual SATA/USB (eSATA) ports that come standard on most machines. My laptop's 2 years old and it has one. If its a desktop though you can just plug it in to the secondary port. Most people know *someone* who can fix their computer, and there's always google.

And IDK what you're talking about when you say serial numbers.. I've never had to use the same brand of HD or the same computer to restore data from one that wont boot. Unless you're talking about a serial port? Not serial number?

Point is, she lost this commissioners work, as well as others. (This is assuming its true and not an excuse). If I'd lost hours upon hours worth of work I'd probably make an effort to get it back. Nothing is every really lost unless you fry or smash a HD.
