EXPLAIN:

I held a YCH mature auction and KitNabarii bid on both of the poses. She won the picture for $50 total and I gave her the quote and told her to send the refs to me. I received the refs but not the payment. I contacted her again a week after asking for the payment but never received a response from her. Send another reminder on the payment another week later but didn't get any kind of respose for that either. On the third try (almost month later) I got a respose that she will be paying later that week, but of course I never got the payment.

Because I had not heard from her on Friday or weekend for that matter, I sent her another note asking for the payment and she told me that she was at hospital (I think?). I received a response that she would pay me on April 12th and I told her that I would be waiting for till then. I was really frustrated but being way too nice about this and decided to wait. Friends told me that it has taken way too long for her payment but I was still being too nice about it because I really needed that money.

After sending yet another message on the payment after the 12th, I got a message from her saying that her Paypal was closed down till May 1st (she said that she told me but I went trought every message and she never told me that). I said that I would wait till then but of course I got nothing after 1st and sent her one last reminder message on 3rd. I will not wait anymore because I know I wont get the payment (unless she pays after this post has been published).

I know I was being too nice and gave her over 2 months to pay because of her 'issues'. She never told me anything beforehand, only after I had sent her note. The last note is still unread and both of her accounts have been inactive for couple weeks. I learned that I will not let myself give the commissioner that much time to pay when the payment was supposed to be sent in three days.

I'd like to point out you said you wouldn't post her to A_B and well... that was either a lie or you went back on what you said, because here we are
In the future it's just better to say "I will post you to A_B if x deadline is not met" or just not mention A_B to them at all. Saying you won't and then doing it anyway- even if she's a bad client- is dishonest.
Otherwise you handled this pretty much as best as you could

Seriously, this. What's with this kind of thing popping up in the last few bewares? It's unnecessary. I agree that the beware is warranted, but don't make yourself look bad in the process if you're the OP of a beware.

I wish people would either stick to their guns and post when they say they're gonna post, or don't post if they are promising not to. It just gives me a bad taste in the mouth.

I wager that using AB as a bargaining chip can be useful so long as it's done with tact and honesty. Why in the world people would use it as leverage like that is beyond me. It feels like blackmail just a tad bit.

Yeah, if someone's going to post anyway they should say that "at this point I'm making an AB post, but if you fix things by ___ date I'll be sure to include that and it will be marked as resolved"

Exactly, in the last few posts I have seen (not this one in particular, though) it does seem like the option of A_B has been used as a form of blackmail. "Do this or I'll post you on A_B if you don't." It just comes off as really rude and tactless.

I can understand going "Here's a deadline, I expect you to meet it" politely, and when it fails, "The deadline has passed, I'm afraid I'll have to post you to artists_beware for not cooperating." There's a lot more tact in that because the chance was GIVEN already.

I just think leaving it out altogether is better from a business perspective. I wouldn't want to start any potential drama by mentioning this community, even though it's NOT a drama comm.

I agree entirely! I just personally don't even mention it for any reason. If after the transactions been done and I feel it merits some sort of beware, then I'd do it. But for the most part I do everything I can to avoid having to use it. It just shouldn't be the first verbal-weapon people use in negotiation.
