Two months of waiting on a 'completed' picture

What: Digital art. A drawing of two of my anthro pokemon characters.

When: I sent Spazzy an email back in October 10th 2014 and I got a reply about it on the same day. After being told how long it would take, I've not heard a single word about that commission from Spazzy.

Proof: All screenshots files has a timestamp of my taskbar. I did not blur out the artist's email name because it's the same as the Furaffinity one and I did not blur out my own Furaffinity name to prove that it's me posting those comments in two of the files but my Deviantart profile has my legal name in it so I blurred that out. I used paint to put together a few of the screenshots to lower the amount of files.

The commission mail exchange, I did not hear from Spazzy again about this after telling me how long it would take.

Roughly three months later she announced that she was open for commissions.

Almost two weeks ago where I poked Spazzy about the commission that I had not yet recieved. I didn't get a reply. Included the latest shout on the profile about someone else who's having undelivered art from Spazzy and two comments from her latest journal, both of which got no replies.

Explain: Spazzy accepted a commission from me. I paid her on October 10th 2014 and after that day I did not hear from her about it again. She has though kept announcing that she's open for commissions and several people have been posting their concerns about her not responding to their mails and not being on the commission queue list.


EDIT: I once again today poked Spazzy about my missing commission, and finally I got a reply from her.

However in the mail that I sent, which was the same string of replies as the original commission mail exchange, she revealed that it wasn't done yet but that she would try to get it finished in the next couple days. I will poke her again about it on Thursday if I haven't gotten a reply yet to find out how it's going.

EDIT: The picture has been finished and sent to me. After 4 days I decided to give Spazzy a poke on email again since she said "next few days". She responded 10 hours later saying that she had had computer problems with the latest windows update and that she promised to deliver on it before she headed to bed. She also mentioned that she had been pointed to the two uploads about her on here and she was very apologetic about it. Around half past 5am pst she delivered and I'm very happy with it.

Heya! We missed adding this in the initial rejection for changes, so I'm just going to bring it up now. Your dropbox links as they are now are too small and hard to read, could you go to the URLs for them and replace the www with dl? This will link to the fullsize-able versions. For instance, your first dropbox link should become:

I've always found instances like this to be really bizarre. The work is done. What's more exciting than delivering a finished piece to the client? How hard is it to simply respond to you and attach the finished image in an email?

I watch Spazzy and frequently see people say they`ve been waiting a year+, that she won`t respond to their emails, etc. I would be curious to know how many people are waiting - maybe they can pitch in on this beware. (She often deletes journals so it may not be evident from a glance at her page.)

Hopefully this will kick things into gear and get the OP their art or a refund.

It's rather unbelievable just how... what word to use... oblivious she is to the amount of mails she get about owed art. Either that or she's taking the route of PirateCashoo which I hadn't even heard of until today.

i can't help but take from this that it's not finished at all, especially if other people are asking for their art, too. :/ i agree with cel- these cases are pretty odd. it's really as simple as sending an email, and if it's not done, just own up to it? i hope you see your art delivered soon.

The thing is that Spazzy has a commission queue list. It has three sections; To Do - Not yet touched, Doing - Worked on but not finished, Done.
During November and December, I started following that list rather closely, and I saw that I was moved to Done back in mid-December.

A little update that I until now didn't notice because I needed to check what the sections were called, Spazzy cleared out the list on Feb 9th by archiving most of the names, me included.

I kinda had the similar issue with her over an experimental commission. When I thought she may've been ignoring me, I had to file a dispute on PayPal, which may have caused her to finally reply with the completed pic. In fact, I almost had beware post about her published here up until I got the pic, so I asked the mods to reject that post.

Because of so many people having problems with her and have been waiting more than a year for their commission (which should come to no surprise), I don't think I would want to work with Spazzy anymore, sadly, as great as her art is.

Methinks she's following PirateCashoo's footsteps on taking people's money and neglecting paying commissioners while opening up more new commissions.

She owes me a reference sheet as an extra from an adoptable auction back in early November but my name still hasn't been placed on her to-do list, even though I brought it up on one of her journals. Knowing how long other people have been waiting, I don't have a good feeling about getting it any time soon. :/

Oh yeah, that thing. Did you autobuy? Which one was it you won? Because I noticed one that had autobought that pointed out she hadn't sent the extra refs despite the promises.

I'm actually amazed the two more recent shouts haven't been deleted yet. I remember this artist doing this at least once before in my time on FA, and it'd only infuriate customers of hers to see her pad her page with butt pats. Even then with such a repeat history of this I'm astounded she's not just completely banned.

I watched her Twitter page for a while while I was waiting to hear about my commission thinking she would update her Twitter with commission updates: nope! She posted some pretty passive-aggressive stuff on there regarding commissioners in addition to posts about all the video games she was buying and all the cons she was going to. I don't know when it happened, but she has since made her Twitter page private. Something's fishy here.

Honestly, good luck with getting something out of Spazzy. I had to wait over a year on art from her, with 20 emails exchanged between us. Many of those were me trying to get in contact with her.

In the end she finally apologized and acknowledged her unprofessional behaviour, but it still took 13 months to get an image out of her that she seemed genuinely excited to do.

And the worst part? Because it took so long, during that time I ended up having a falling out with one of the character owners who I was getting the picture for. :/

Now she's hiding comments, She's already hidden one from one of her clients whose name is Blitza. It's a shame I didn't get it screen capped.

In all honesty I think you all should report her to the FA admins because she's had plenty of time to get her shit together and she's chosen to ignore it.

One of the friends of Spazzy's friend just posted a hate shout on Blitza's profile. This, according to Blitza is assumed to be because he's no longer friend with Spazzy. He left another shout on her profile now addressing what had happened, and he will however not delete it because it shows their "true colors".

Have opened a dispute on a comm i ordered with spazzy ~45 days ago. My comm was marked as "completed" but i never received the artwork. Sent an e-mail querying the progress when it was marked as complete a week or two ago, but never got a response. Hoping to get some kinda communication now that the dispute is up.

I think it's time for anyone who's owed by her to report her to FA staff in hope they freeze her page or something. She's just opened up for MORE commissions, and deleted all the comments on her page (?) concerning old commissions. Someone commented in her journal that they're still waiting for a response, I don't think it's likely anyone will get theirs.

I honestly doubt she'll even deliver on that "in the next few days". Even then, I try to be patient in general but if she hasn't delivered in the next 2 weeks I'll report her to FA staff, because after seeing a comment like that, she's on a time limit with me now.

I'm glad you got your picture! I'll mark this as resolved.

It rubbed me the wrong way that she said she 'wished you emailed her', though, as if it were your fault she didn't finish the commission. Especially since you had indeed been emailing her.
