WHO:  Kee/Kyme/Inarolyn/Iaz/Janks/Len/Neicom


WHERE:  http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kee (all the above are also FA accounts that she has hopped between, but Kee is her current).

WHAT: Tracing. Most of the traces are partial and have been "frankensteined".


WHEN: This has been going on for awhile from what I have been able to figure.

EXPLAIN: Again, I was asked to post this here by several people after compiling multiple instances of her tracing of recent. A lot of people felt a public warning should be made, since she jumps accounts quite frequently. She's also traced several times in the past, but I haven't been able to locate the originals.

Almost all the traces have been of artists whom she's watching, the only exception being my own art.

There were a few others that were TCBY commissions that I am certain were traced, but I never saved the files.



As is evidenced, her anatomy flipflops from really well done, to filled with errors. If anyone can provide originals for some of the suspected traces, it'd be appreciated as well. NO ONE improves that greatly in a five month period, drawing as rarely as she does. I don't think everything she uploads/draws is traced, but much of it is.

Oh wow. Yea, I don't know how you could "accidently" distort all of those to where they just happen to match up.

I've tried matching up most of these (the SWF ones anyawy), and the only one I could get to match without distorting was 3b, which was just a straight line anyway. There's some serious dishonesty here.

There was never any dishonesty intended, which is why I retracted my allegations last night, WELL BEFORE anyone else created overlays. I realized that a few lines here and there weren't sufficient, thanks to all of the people who responded here.

If you actually now admit these are probably not traced, that's fine. However, that's not why you stated you retracted before. You said you still thought they were traces then, you just "didn't want the drama".

But, I'm glad you've apologized to the artist for telling a bunch of people they traced, both here and in private.

Two things that are bothering me at this point:

1) At a glance, your FA apology is nice and all, but you do not clearly retract your accusations. You apologize for acting aggressively, only mention being wrong about one specific picture, and that's pretty much it. You've been asked for and may have noted the artist's name to a bunch of people, so instead of the vagueness, at least spell out to your readers that your proof doesn't hold up.

2) Have you contacted the admins and let them now that their warning is based on distorted (literally) evidence?

I do believe she is tracing, just because I say the evidence isn't sufficient does not mean that I am automatically going to change my views about it.

Yeah, and that's fine, but there's a difference between believing it deep down, and bad-mouthing a community because they didn't see it. If you knew that a few lines aren't sufficient- regardless of gut feeling- there wouldn't be nearly 300 comments arguing about this, nor would there have been those nasty comments in your journal.

Again, innocent until proven guilty. One or two of these I wonder how the distortion wasn't noticed, but most are somewhat subtle to the naked eye. Depending on the program it may be difficult to notice if the scaling feature is locking proportions or not. I double checked myself several times.

I used Sai's transform tool. I don't think it has a locked proportions feature, which is what made it so difficult to size up/down.

Afraid all I know is Photoshop, but I do know if I don't hold down the shift key, or if I pull the wrong box it will distort rather than just resize.

For the record, I used SAI to do my transformation as well. If you hold down the shift key it will resize without distorting the form. It works just like photoshop in that regard.

Can you see the ratios when using the transform tool in SAI? Like, does it say "95% x 102%" or something like that?

As far as I've noticed no, I don't see anything giving percentages like that while using the transform tool.

Then I partially retract my statement of her distorting it intentionally. She probably tried to make the pictures fit unconsciously while she was scaling them. Still, I have a hard time believing she wouldn't have noticed the distortion of some of them. http://www.spiffyspace.com/misc/example5acorn.gif This one in particular has a huge distortion that I don't think she could not notice, sick or not.

I really don't think Acorn intentionally distorted them as well. SAI does some really super smooth resizing and may have been hard for her to notice, so I believe her when she says she wasn't aware that you could hold shift to keep it from distorting.

I think because of how she feels about this person, not so much that she was sick, she just became over zealous when she thought she was finding multiple traces and didn't realize just how much distortion was going on. I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt in this case.
